The armour doesn’t look that impressive, the only good bit takes so long to acquire and costs a lot.
The grind isn’t fun, just some trivial BS steps, I have barely touched my green set and it’s demotivated me to the point where I’ve barely played this week.
The most I’ve been doing is doing crown once a week on my Warlock. I’ve also left my clan because clans these days are all just objective based instead of community. I miss the days where I could call my old clan mates by their first names instead of “xxsniperxx”
It’s not just a you problem Bungie, it’s also an us problem. We just scream for things without going into detail because we let the influencers get into the details after they sign those NDA’s and speak to Bungie. We asked for the grind to be more simple and for the whole crucible to be nerfed back when D1 was winding down and then we got D2 Vanilla, it was ruined because we whined so much about crucible and wormwood and got the weapon sandbox nerfed so hard that we didn’t even get to use shotguns anymore because they weren’t optimal!
This problem about optimal load outs still exists now! I, a Warlock main, am always supposed to run well and lunafaction. That’s it. That’s the only thing all the groups allow because they just want to one phase bosses thanks to auto reload and like 5 buffs stacked on each other.
For Christ’s sake Bungie you added a Kamehameha into the game! One of the most popular finishers in fiction yet it’s not even an okay choice for DPS. It’s just well.
Destiny doesn’t feel good to play. You’ve made up for Y1 Bungie. Please let me do thing where I lean forward in my chair to play better. I haven’t done that in so long. When we wipe it’s usually the games fault because we put out so much DPS that the boss gets trapped outside the arena. It happens every time I swear. The bosses don’t have a lot of health and are getting smaller and smaller. Argos is the biggest boss we had but his mechanics were literally strike worthy. Yes, Riven is canonically bigger than Argos but for the majority of the fight, we just see her head. By majority of fight I mean the 2 minutes that we take to do it because you still haven’t patched the cheese almost a year later.
EDIT: I’m not done. Let’s talk about destiny’s economy.
Notice how it says “trading please” under my name?
It’s been there since 2016 and I still stand by it. Do you know how incentivised people would be to grind for god rolls, mods, specs and flair if trading was a thing? I would grind for ages back in D1 for a god roll imago loop and while grinding would talk to my team about how if I could trade, I would grind until my fingers bleed because I would trade my spares for other god rolls I won’t need to grind for. Maybe I can trade a god roll for a whole Buncha shards, dust or (dare I say it) Silver?
By the way, why is there a glimmer cap? Seriously this glimmer cap has been the reason why I struggle to infuse all my gear in one go because if there wasn’t, I would have had more reason to play because I wouldn’t need to go out and do boring patrols in order to get glimmer. I could be doing a raid or nightfall.
I can picture it now: I just got an extra curated Blast Furnace after doing scourge and I rush on to destinymarket.com (fake website because there isn’t trading) and put it for a full EP armour set or 500k glimmer or 500 shards.
Another picture: Damn, I missed the Christmas event and wasn’t able to get the emote. Screw it, I’m gonna sacrifice some of my god rolls for that emote. Better get to grinding after this.
That is community. That is incentive.

2 RespuestasEditado por RussellMania: 8/6/2019 10:55:03 AMI was agreeing with what you were saying up until you started whining about economy. Trading for god rolls removes any grind or sense of personal accomplishment, ESPECIALLY when you're asking for there to be no glimmer cap
Maybe I can trade a god roll for a whole Buncha shards, dust or (dare I say it) Silver?
No. No, no. Absolutely not. This is straight up pay to win and should not be in any game ever.
Because if there's no cap it literally has no value!!! MY GOD why is this so hard for people to understand?!?! Giving it no cap is effectively the same thing as removing it from the game entirely!!!
I can picture it now: I just got an extra curated Blast Furnace after doing scourge and I rush on to destinymarket.com (fake website because there isn’t trading) and put it for a full EP armour set or 500k glimmer or 500 shards.
Again removing any and all incentive to ever run EP, or the sense of accomplishment associated with acquiring the EP gear. I bet you're one of the people that loved getting Trials weapons in Year 1 from clan engrams without even playing Trials.
Another picture: Damn, I missed the Christmas event and wasn’t able to get the emote. Screw it, I’m gonna sacrifice some of my god rolls for that emote. Better get to grinding after this.
Nope. You miss the event, you miss the loot. That's the entire point of loot tied to real-time events.
That is community. That is incentive.
Lol... No. This is the removal of incentive, and of challenge.

Completed a majestic set. Trash looking armour with bad rolls.
-
Trading wont work in this game. There isnt enought loot to support it. IF trading was allowed I would rather it be like division where only the fireteam can trade.
-
It's sure a lot better than the last Soltice event. That was the worse thing I ever played in D2. I quit within 20 minutes.

18 RespuestasYour trading ideas will also increase real money issues. People get pissed about paid carries now. Imagine the complaints, once people start selling exotics. Then the game would actually become, pay 2 win. It will also create a Chinese gold farmer's situation, like WoW has had for a long time. It won't ever happen. But you are free to voice your opinions though.

It's clear that, although D1 and D2 were made by largely the same people, the vision behind the games is far different. If you know anything about Destiny / Bungo history, you know why. D1, less to do than D2 but more fun doing it. D2, more to do than D1 but less fun doing it. It should have been 'D2, more to do than D1 AND more fun doing it'. For me, the final straw was yet another weak lair. None of the 6 D2 raids/lairs come close to any of the 4 raids from D1, yes even strike Crota (pit alone saves that raid...what a cool way to kick things off!).

The power creep, optimal stuff only, and the 100 minibosses are a problem. Trading isn’t imo. It would take out a lot of fun trying to grind and get weapons/armor. But why do that when you just have some sweaty try hard give everything away. That will just increase the power creep even more and make the problem worse.

1 RespuestaEditado por Lull9: 8/6/2019 5:53:05 AMTrading.... hahahahahahahahahahahahaha Like there isn't enough pay to win on ebay already. And the game really doesn't have a deep or complex enough loot system to support it. So many quest rewards, exotics, and other items retrieivable from collections, etc. So already half the stuff is excluded.

1 Respuestatrading cant happen in this game because drop rates are WAY to high. You heard me, the drop rates in this game are too high for trading. Games like warframe get away with trading because you can grind an entire week and get PART of the weapon you want. If you want trading in destiny loot would drop like this. Every 20-50 strikes you can get a drop. It can be a perk or a base weapon with no stats. The game doesnt work like that and It shouldnt. NO TRADING EVER

5 RespuestasWell you don't have to get all of the armor in one day, and it's entirely possible to just casually play and get the objectives done. Only thing that i hated were the gambit matches. I understand that most people don't like mmo grinds, but this is an mmo now. Be happy that this isn't something like WoW or Runescape where grinds for one item can last months on end. If you don't want to get something, don't. Simple as that. No one has forced you to go and get these items. I got the majestic gear on my hunter on the second day, not because i was forced, but because I wanted to. Accept that some things might be out of reach for you if you don't like the grind and don't expect things to be changed to suit you. Trading. No. Never. People will stop doing carries and recovs and just start buying pinnacle weapons. Not to mention the direct contradiction of the tos. This is not Warframe. This is Destiny. Trading should never happen in this game.

I still laugh at people that thought this would be a thing ever. I even heard one guy say "he'd not raid LW until the cheese was fixed, and he will laugh when everyone has to do it 'legit' " Meanwhile Bungie Twitter compliments and loves the strat and that we figured that out. Therefore, your take on the state of the game is made irrelevant regardless of your points. Way too dumb on that one.

You're giving way too much credit to bad game design. The raids aren't good and they're cheesed because they're garbage. Simon says with a baddies house designed to kill himself? Shit gets old. I can only throw balls and stand on plates twice before I smell bullshit. And we -blam!-ed that up by second raid of D1. The mechanics are DATED. They need to make sense and not be arbitrary. The games mechanics themselves should be TOOLS to deal with enemies. Instead the "difficulty" is some -blam!-ing metaphor with a timer on the side until Bungie feeds a world's first team the answer. Then we all learn the stupid arbitrary shit. Then we cheese the shit because Bungie doesn't even test the God damn things. They can't because someone has to be blind. Blind players can't test content. Destiny mechanics are paper thin and originate from mobile games. It's bound to make the content stale for everyone, eventually. The bottomless supply of fun is running dry. How's this possible? It wasn't ever fun. Just designed and marketed to make you think it's good. Throw in literally any of the larger streamers/YouTubers (unobjective tools who are all given free shit from Bungie) selling the lies? Boom. It's the same old shit as cod. "awh this time man. This is the DLC. They fix it all, we promise" and a few months later "x game needs fixing cause muh reasons". Streamers are almost as bad for this game as the damn raid design.

So you're not having a happy solstice? Must be a crappy solstice. Crappy solstice!

No trading please but everything else I can see your point

2 RespuestasThis made great reading while I was taking a shit. Thanks

2 RespuestasA huge problem is boss design. Anymore bosses are just too easy to damage. There hasn’t been anything close to vault of glass of Kings fall other than the calus fight in D2
-
1 Respuestatrading needs to be out of thje game since it doesnt have enough veriety like warframe in weapons and mods and armor and combinations of such so that trading would short cut the entirel loop , although i dont think that loop is good its the only longevity asset destiny has. (although i dont think it carries that burden well ) i woudl rather see a series style , every week one new story/mission and new cutscenes to grind for and progress that giant enormous story rather than mind numbingly get 1000 bow kills in gambit. a game mode noone seems to like anymore and hardly anyone plays the objective ..

Keep me posted.(No)

Editado por Deathburg3r: 8/5/2019 10:16:36 PMI did the EAZ once and it was cool and all but it's not for me. I'm sure I'll get armor in Shadowkeep, so I don't see a need to get an armor set I'm pretty sure I already got sixty times...plus, that Shadowkeep Titan helmet in the ads has me feeling things I'm shameful of
-
Hmm Indeed. I got tired of people telling each other , ITS A MONTH LONG... just to justify how much time they killed off their day/lives just for a piece of armor. Told me to not do it if it was too hard or long.. and i finally took their advise. I'm NOT TOUCHING THE GAME OR SHADOW KEEP until i see some proper answers/progress to D2 Y3.... I was actually about to pre-order Shadow keep.. but i have a LIFE.. i have a full time job... and a family. PLEASE BUNGIE... GIVE ME A REASON TO COME BACK. I might even buy some silver depending on that. my 2cents. ^^
-
I ain't grinding for armour I already own. It didn't look that great first time around either. I'm saving my self for grinding for the same armour in the solstice next year. Lol.
-
9 RespuestasI skipped the whole solstice thing when I learned of all the grinding for armor that will be obsolete in a month. Did it last time and learned my lesson. I play the way I want to play and not the way bungie wants me to play. I’m a filthy casual by the way.

6 RespuestasIt's pretty messed up how everyone who participated in this event last year got totally circle jerked. Seriously how can anyone defend Bungie at this point. Gotta love how Bungie just lies and lies and lies about their lies. Then they lie some more while at the same time f**king everyone in the ass.
