Infamy point doesn't grant for Complete Gambit.
I received a email today.
With title "Solstice of Heroes starts today for all Guardians. A specialBungie Reward can be earned."
It write about "Gambit will be free to all Destiny 2 players during the Solstice event" , "This is your chance to rank up your Infamy during the Moments of Triumph".
But player that don't not own Forsaken or Season Pass, doesn't gain any Infamy point from complete a gambit neither with win or lost.

1 RespuestaThis is most likely as gaining rewards from gambit requires Forsaken and the Annual Pass. It’s not really an issue if you don’t intend on buying either, as the free to play gambit won’t be available once Solstice ends.

It’s possible it was a typo but you should record gameplay with you not receiving points at the end of the match.
