Just imagine if eververse didn't exist, all the items that were in her inventory could be placed around each world, each event, each game mode. The game would feel rich and full of content, things to grind for. Imagine if there were civilians and friendlies placed in each world that requested our help. In return, they would give us a reward (that originally eververse would have) and a bit of lore via dialogue about the area they live in. Encounters with civilians and friendlies around each world could lead us to something huge like finding out that the fallen were planning a massive attack, which could ultimately lead us to getting an exotic or an exotic quest. Imagine if there were more than just shoot-em-up npcs in each world. What if social spaces were actually filled with people, npc’s we could interact with, that gave us missions that rewarded us with materials and unlocked secret areas within the world. What if... Amanda holiday became useful and gave us quests or sold some of those exotic sparrows from eververse. What if Ikora, and zavala had quests for the transmat and ghost shells. What if zavala had intel that a fallen weapons smith was requesting the support of the guardians because spider had been given false information that he was stealing from them. The quest would ultimately lead to us saving the weapon smith and making him a friendly. In return he would offer to customize our weapons like our reticle color, different weapon sights, could build in 1 random special fallen perk, offer fallen weapon skins for vanguard weapons. Man, i could go on all day about how the non-existence of eververse could be such a great thing to this game.
And even if it still had to exist in someway shape or form, eververse could just sell event items only and boons for xp for different game modes, or even materials including cores. Man, it could’ve been amazing!

13 RespuestasYou forgot to mention the base game and the September's expansions would cost at least the double each. Maybe this is not clear to you, but bungie is a company and needs to pay its employees.
-
21 RespuestasAnd think if she was never around you wouldn’t have free events.
-
If eververse didnt exist, they probably wouldnt have made all that free stuff that you think you'd be enjoying. Why would they make it if they arent able to sell it? There would be less live team events too. I hardly buy anything from her, but its nice that it helps fund the game. The stuff she sells doesnt effect the game, not sure why people care about it.

16 RespuestasSounds like a great game. Good luck trying to persuade the employees at Bungie to work for free.

4 RespuestasIf Eververse never existed, we wouldn't have DLC. Just being real.
-
if eververse didn't exist we probably wouldn't have free seasonal events like solstice or dawning. things like whisper and outbreak might not exist either. Sure we'd have some cooler cosmetics in the game, but i kind of appreciate the free events that i don't pay for.

18 RespuestasImagine if people that hate on Bungie for pointless shit like this had more than 6 combined braincells.
-
13 RespuestasIf eververse never existed destiny 1 wouldnt have made it past House of wolves DLC 😂😂😂 and now that activision told bungie to pound sand they dont have a sugar daddy any more and no one to blame their problems on, so now itll be all bungo and all eververse from here until about this time next year when the game fails
-
If Eververse didn’t exist then why would the items? They were made solely for Eververse, lol. You guys have this fantasy that all these items would be in the game if Eververse didn’t exist which just isn’t true.

15 RespuestasOdd times when skins and shaders are what would make a looter shooter "rich and full of content" And the 2nd half of your post is full of stuff that has nothing to do with eververse. What do skins and emotes in a premium store have to do with a live world with NPCs giving out quests and stuff?

1 RespuestaOnce upon a time.. There was a place where it never rained.
The end.
I don't get why people get so worked up over cosmetics.

4 RespuestasWhat game breaking item is sold from Eververse that makes you invincible, or OP in any way? None, nothing, nada. Didn't think so. You want a paint job, you have to pay the painter.

8 RespuestasRemember Sparrow Horns as a nightfall reward? I do. Sips tea

9 RespuestasJust imagine if you knew how to structure a paragraph. I might have read your post.

Honestly I'd actually hate that. Clear a raid Get a crappy reskin ghost shell Clear a strike Watermelon shader Do patrol Transmat effect Nah leave them in eververse, at least with eververse I expect to get a cheap trinket.

8 Respuestas>big developer who just went solo >cut their only constant revenue stream leaving their work moot and doomed to fail You can't be this dumb op. I get wanting more shit but cutting that out eliminates revenue they use to pay workers. Now not everyone is business savvy but that would doom Bungie. Don't be an idiot op

You're asking me to imagine the game the initially advertised, and never actually made. I think about it a fair bit. Sometimes I like to watch some old trailers and think about what could have been.
-
Nah, I could never see Saint 14’s ship in anywhere but Eververse 🤨

After it got traction they started investing more and more into it to the point where it's not going away. Shame they couldn't put more time into the actual game because it's really mediocre. A game that's actually complete and well made is not something I mind paying full price for at all. Destiny isn't it, and they don't care because there's enough people giving their money for low effort cosmetics. So much like how Valve is super slow to make anything of substance Bungie will do the same.

4 RespuestasThere was a time in d1 eververse never existed. Good times they were

Half of this post has nothing to do with Eververse. The integration of NPC interactions and increased customisation mechanics have literally nothing to do with Eververse existing. If Eververse didn't exist then all of the "Eververse" items would somehow be integrated into the existing systems similar to the way they were in D1. Very rare and impossible to get specifically what you wanted. There is no logical reason to believe that if Eververse ceased to exist that suddenly the game would become much more advanced and interconnected, with more RPG esque elements. There simply wouldn't be any method of cosmetic microtransactions in the game, and Bungie would have a smaller revenue stream because of it.

1 RespuestaEditado por W33DEDPLAGUE: 8/1/2019 3:21:52 AMThat all sounds well and good, but there is a reason they need extra income, especially now. We could wish and dream that we had the perfect game for the rest of our lives but it just doesn't work that way anymore. Studios don't employ 20 people anymore, costs for the industry have gone up substantially, and deals are made with publishers who's only bottom line is the bottom line lol. It is what it is, I still love the game and have tons of stuff to do/earn every season and if I want something from eververse, I'll decide if it's worth it. If not, oh well, I guess I won't have that item, no big deal. Besides, before eververse existed, there were no such items anyway. It's not like they had those things in the game, then decided to sell them instead. They are created specifically for the purpose they exist now. If we didn't have eververse, those items wouldn't be a thing anyway.

i made this post a week ago and got shot down by 3 people, never to be seen again

7 RespuestasThe possibilities are endless without Eververse interfering with gameplay. Shaders and ghost shells at specific lost sectors or emotes found through random activities. So on and so forth.
