For real, just think about it!
It would be nice if bungie answered our question about transmog of Y1 and Y2 armor. Will it be or not :)? Its really useless pieces of pixels for now. And what about guns? Y1 have no mods and random perks, Y2 have all of them, but i cant just take them from my collection. What we will see in Y3? Will Y1 and Y2 guns transformed to shit? Leviathan armor have its own perks for this raid. Y1 stuff can be masterworked, but in OTHER way then Y2. We have rally flags, but dont have them in Leviathan raid. Cabal and Vex modifier neither.
All stuff in the game, old and new mechanics mixed up and this is really a mess. So, if you want newbies to get a good first impression of the game and tell all their friends about it, then you should think about all these things now, because the time until the Shadow Keep will be released remains less and less every day.
I'm not talking about the boons of the Vanguard or Crucible, which need to be used from the inventory each time, instead of just working until they are finished. I'm not talking about the lack of a group search interface. I'm not talking about all sorts of quests for exotic stuff, the discovery of new forges, and so on, that is performed by EVERY INDIVIDUAL GUARDIAN, instead of just being applied once to an account. About impatient matchmaking for strikes, forges and menageries, when you find yourself alone after landing. About buying items from Spider ONE AT A TIME.
In general, there are many questions. I am sure that in the comments below, there will be more examples of bad design or interface mistakes.
You need to think about it now. Otherwise, you will get a bad start with f2p model and reviews wherever possible, in the style of "no matter how much time passes, but Destiny 2 still is "a game with potential that will never be realized".
PS: Guys, relax :-). I'm not trying to say that game is bad. I think it's the best game i ever played. BUT! There are many things that "needs to be done to the end", instead of "we'd done it somehow, for somewhat. Now we have no idea how to do things better. Here, take another event"

This is not directed at you OP. I admire your approach and positive attitude. I’m normally that guy and had high expectations for Destiny’s journey. As for me now...with this game...after about five years of this cycle of abuse....”for now” is just part of the cycle. I’m done expecting anything more from Bungie than the repetitive cycle of bait and switch. It’s what I’ve learned through their decisions. I’ll still play what I’ve got casually, but purchasing anything else full price or in advance makes me feel like a fool. I’ve bought it all in the past....because the hype was so good...it always is. The game plays fine if you just don’t care and set your expectations low. Dang, it really hurts to say it.

“For now”, he says😆😂👊🏼

2 RespuestasEditado por holydracoeva: 7/29/2019 8:07:59 AMThere's no way to clean up destiny 2, they had an idea when it launched but it flopped, they tried to fix it with forsaken but only made a mess, since then they've just been adding mess on top of the mess. A new game is the only way to staighten up anything along with a fundamental change to how they handle things.

Why are so many people in the forums so angry and vicious when someone suggests big or small changes? It's either "x milion are playing the game is a success and a masterpiece no changes are needed don't like it don't play" or "it's like this since d1 don't like it don't play" or "it will cost millions of $$$ to implement and will make the game 50gig more in size don't like it don't play it" or in general "don't like it don't play it". The moment you buy and play destiny 2 you are denied any form of critic of the game, you have to like it the way it is or you can f-off. The steam launch will be a hard reality check for d2. And yes I know I know destiny 2 does not need any fancy steam and some new dirty f2p players right? It will only taint the perfect uber-game that destiny 2 is.

27 RespuestasIf they refuse to even answer the simplest question for over a year now about Factions? "When are they coming back". What would make you or anyone think for that matter that Bungie is even going to answer any legit questions before they sell Shadow Keep? Personally, I think it's pathetic that this company doesn't even know how to communicate with their player base unless it's selling something. Over an entire year people, they have only said basically, "we're still trying to figure out what to do with them". Going on 5 years this has been going on that a lot of simple legit questions are never answered or they wait until the last minute when they have something to sell. I mean look at Solstice of Heroes, just like Dawning in y1 Bungie will hide like a child and stay silent to ride the event out and wait until it's over to maybe answer something in their own way or act like Tess wasn't suppose to be set up this way and make a fake apology as they did with Dawning. Go look at the post-Cozmo made about Solstice of Heroes and tell me how many legit questions have been answered?

11 RespuestasI dunno maybe I’m the last few around here that thinks the game is good. I took a month or two of and buzzing again. Best thing I even did

9 RespuestasEditado por SilverSols: 7/28/2019 12:41:47 PMDestiny 2 has always been this mess to me. We are still worse off than in D1 and I know a lot of people hate that viewpoint but its true to how I feel and how many I know feel. Minor rant can skip.
We are pushed by streamers and Youtubers to basically believe everything is fine to the point if where a small influx of people happens and they push out the story that everything is great using that as proof. Reddit, twitter, and YouTube anymore aren't open to any discussion from that opposing view so I believe negativity is so high here cause it's one of the few places its mildly allowed where you won't get shut down for an opposing view. At least not as immediately.
Bungie has lost tons of faith and good will and anytime they get a question it's basically vague answers or we'll talk about that closer to the time rather than earlier to start earning back good faith. They post their trailers and such to do, from my view, the exact thing Drifter and release did. Hype the fan base to let them down again. Both current in game problems and then communication problems lead to a game that anymore is easy to put down with there so many better options available. They have to also try to get past Destiny 2 being seen as a complete joke by the gaming population at large. If they want this game to go anywhere be as popular as other loot games they have to learn from others instead of helping enforce the deal with it or leave mentality.

3 RespuestasWho cares if Bungie doesn't disclose every bit of minutiae about how X works? They're already so deep in development, that opposition to anything now wouldn't change much, so people can complain now, complain later, or complain now and later... Thank You Bungie, for holding out on details so some of us can keep up with the game, but still be surprised by something new.

3 RespuestasI quit plaing last November and gave my account to a kid down the street and even he doesnt play it.

This game always becomes a total shitshow before the big Fall DLC. Because until Fall, they have no reason at all to answer any questions or fix things. It’s the time when bungie tosses out a grindy event and tell players to farm while they put everything we ask for and want in the big expansion drop.

I guess you could call it... Messtiny Yeeee hawww

2 RespuestasNo Thundercrash buff in sight

new players bro lul. This game was free on psn, xbox, and pc this time last year. This time around they are adding the garbo dlc's 1 and 2 and letting people play gambit , the most unpopular unliked activity, except for raids which are somehow even less populated.
-
I hope IB armor will upgrade to 2.0 given the grind to get the whole set. Also everyone who upgraded Solstice set in Y1 should get 2.0. It was a huge disappointment that the set became useless in Forsaken
-
With them adding more and more content they need to increase inventory slots. 50 is not enough. Not even close.
-
3 RespuestasThere are a lot of inconsistencies in the UI now. Like why some items can be banked while others cannot. Why some can be destroyed or discarded but others can't. Why do enhancement Cores dismantle by the entire stack while other useless things that we no longer use dismantle 1 by 1...
-
12 RespuestasThere’s no transmog system. They are only allowing that with Eververse items and mostly because some people paid real money for that gear. Everything else will have to be an earned again. They basically answered this by allowing whoever grinds out a Solstice set this year to legendary status will be allowed to pick it up as their first armor 2.0 set. So nothing you’ve collected is changing. You’ll be collecting new sets again. My hope is it’s at least not as painful collecting the base sets again...
-
they do not owe you a damn hand out cause you grinded for gear be lucky they allowed soltices year 2 armor to be armor 2 .0 that is the hand out
-
9 RespuestasThere will always be people who think that the active Destiny game is a mess.
-
If we are able to select our perks for our own armour, then different looking armour pieces are just there to make you pick which you like best. Eventually someone will find an OP setup and before you know it everyone is using it.

2 RespuestasHello, Sir/Mam, it has come to my attention you are missing the feeling of using Year One Sets, well in shadowkeep there will be a new system Armor 2.0, it will allow you to make and Year 1 Set look into your Armor 2.0 this will allow you to feel like you are playing destiny again hopefully regards, Nathan

This is a very good question, especially relevant in the transition to the game on a modular model of content. What will happen to the “first year items” considering that the vanilla part of the game will become the foundation.
