Good evening everybody! This is Aifos coming to you alive from right in front of my box of Magic the Gathering cards. Unfortunately, I am way better at Magic than any of my friends (which to be honest isn’t saying much) so they don’t play Magic with me anymore.
The issue is I want to play a card game! I would just play MtG on my Xbox, but playing these types of games digitally just isn’t the same, wouldn’t you agree?
I was just going to give up, but then I remembered something; Bloodborne: The Card Game! Now, Bloodborne: TCG isn’t single player (it requires a minimum of 3), but it’s cooperative (sort of)—there’s no enemy player, the baddies are controlled via an “Enemy Deck” and dice rolls.
And that made me wonder; is there a TCG-esque card game that’s single player?
I’ve got no idea, but that’s why I’m asking you!
Tl;dr? Here’s my point!
I want a single player card game.
It’s important to note I’m looking for a TCG-esque card game, like Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh, not anything like Solitaire.
Y’know? Summoning monsters and the like.
Anyway, thanks in advance! Jambuhbye!

3 RespuestasDo you have a nearby card/game shop? Usually places like that host events for people to meet others.

21 RespuestasSorry, Aifos, but if I start getting into these games, this post wont end, so I'll throw a word or two in if I feel like it and you can ask me any questions about ones that catch your eye. Aventuria https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ulissesspiele/aventuria-inn-of-the-black-boar-0/description (second edition) https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/190400/aventuria-adventure-card-game (first edition) I don't recommend buying the first edition as it seems to have a few issues with localisation, and generally being an awkward buy - that said, the game itself was apparently fantastic! When the Kickstarter came up for the 2nd edition I had to snag it. It should hit retail within a month or two if you don't mind waiting. Good to read that BGG link to get an idea of what it's about, though. Grimslingers https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/173018/grimslingers I think i like this one more for the theme and artwork. It's a solid game with a decent campaign and some decent gameplay, but the mechanics and the rulebook are a little tricky to navigate. Well worth the price, though. Warhammer Quest https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/181521/warhammer-quest-adventure-card-game No Warhammer knowledge necessary. This is widely considered one of the best adventure card games out there. Fun campaign, decent mechanics, and enjoyable gameplay. Just a shame there wont be anymore content for it. Arkham Horror https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/205637/arkham-horror-card-game Another well recieved adventure card game. This time focusing a bit more around exploration, mystery, problem solving, and fighting some spookies! A really solid game with great story development, character decks and some solid expansions. One Deck Dungeon https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/179275/one-deck-dungeon Or maybe you want to walk forward and hit stuff and get better gear to hit more stuff harder until there's nothing left to hit. One Deck Dungeon might not be as extravagant as the other games here, but it absolutely fits its purpose as an easy-to-play dungeon crawler. It doesn't come to the table much, and I mainly play it on train journeys or when my group just wants to kill 20 minutes until the others arrive or whatever, but I'm absolutely happy with my purchase here! Aeon's End https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/191189/aeons-end A deckbuilding tower defense/hoard mode game. There's some cool character development here, good artwork, fun baddies, and enjoyable gameplay. Mistfall https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/168274/mistfall Now Mistfall... Mistfall I do and don't recommend. it's a big game, and a very challenging one. I encourage you to do some exploring with Mistfall because I really enjoyed it, but it is a heavy game - definitely something to think about if you don't play card games often. Onirim https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/156336/onirim-second-edition Never played Onirim myself, but I've heard excellent things. Make sure you go for the second edition when looking around.

1 RespuestaThere is a WH40k "choose your own adventure" card game, but it is a complete set not collectable and I can't remember the name. I know that the Dark Souls boardgame can be played solo but I do not know if the card game has similar mechanics, also not a collectable cardgame. There are a bunch of living cardgames you can play solo but I can't think of any CCG that can.

1 RespuestaEditado por The Arxfiend: 7/22/2019 7:31:19 AMSadly I don't think they exist maybe. But you can play yugioh against a bot online. Or build two decks and duke it out yourself.

4 RespuestasGwent. It’s the best card game to exist, though I like the version in The Witcher 3 more than the standalone game.
