I have just been subjected to offensive and racist language in Destiny 2.
What is Bungie's stance on racism and offensive language?
What is being done to prevent people from being tempted to use offensive language or racist terms whilst playing?
There is no place for racism in gaming or anywhere else.
-
People send me racist comments on my bungie name. I got to change it because I'm tried of the racist name calling please
-
Sadly this is NOT uncommon in the world of Destiny when in fact we should all be concentrating on the player's level of competence in doing weekly bounties to help build the clan. Think Star Trek people and build a better tomorrow today!

I genuinely can’t tell if OP if a satirical mastermind or an absolute moron.
-
1 RespuestaYou're surprised some mad kid said some racial slurs over the internet? I've triggered some racists and sexists myself and I just laugh at them, report, and block. Problem solved.
-
OP's head would have exploded in any pre CoD BO3 multiplayer lobby. Report (if your feelings are truly hurt by words) and move on buttercup.
-
1 RespuestaI agree, nerf fusion rifles.

Have a look at the code of conduct
What is being done to prevent people from being tempted to use offensive language or racist terms whilst playing?
Most racist words are banned on the forums. If used in a bungie controlled chat and reported Bungie will punish those who used offensive language. Your responsibility starts and ends with reporting those who break the rules.

Sticks and stones my break my bones but words will NEVER hurt me Or anyone for that matter Mind power..... it’s called mind power
-
I think if you would just tell people what was said then you wouldn't be getting so much flak
-
If it was on the bungie forums, report their post. If it was in game, report the player. But beyond that? You can’t honestly expect Bungie to handle every individual case of racism and discrimination in their game or around their media. Just distance yourself from those people and try to move on
-
All you gotta do is report them, block them, and pretend they never exist. If justice is real, the problem will resolve itself.
-
Online experience = thicker skin or don't use headset. I don't like it either but it's not Bungie's job to make people be better.
-
1. People's language isn't bungies problem. 2. Bungie can't do anything about it anyway. Report their message to Xbox/PSN/blizzard. It isn't bungies problem

30 RespuestasEditado por Xc_LuxZenRa: 7/19/2019 4:31:48 PM....it is called good parenting....if you cant handle the reality we live in just turn of the console or PC..... There was a study done with 2 groups of children allergic to peanuts. One group was not given any peanuts and the other group was given a small dosage everyday. Guess what happened? The children that were exposed to a small dosage of peanut built up a resistance to the allergy. They are now grown and are not allergic to peanuts. The opposite is said for the group never given any peanuts. The point of that story is....you deal with the harsh realities of the world. If i get called a name i ask myself: "is it true?" If the answer is No i decided to laugh with them. If they say something that is in fact true then i have to come to terms with wether i like that truth or not. If i don't i have the possibility to change it. "I am not WHAT HAPPENED to me, I am WHAT i CHOOSE to BECOME." ~Carl Jung.

Dude, Bungie cannot control what people say and expecting them to is ridiculous. Just block that person and move on.
-
Report them for offensive language but other than that there is nothing. Just brush it off and go on living. People on the internet are rude, nothing you can do about it.
-
That's why I don't play with kids.
-
Report and mute, the respective platform should take care of it

Each platform has tools to mute, block, an/or report other players. You’re supposed to use those.

You could.. block and report them instead of expecting Bungie to do EVERYTHING for you, y'know. Racist POS's exist online and that sucks, but you gotta just report them and move on. Don't let it bog you down.
