I couldn't agree more. Crucible is fun for the one guy at the top of the leader board every match, the guy with 30 or more kills when no one else has more than 15-or-20. Why wouldn't that be fun? I can promise you, every one of the people using their variations of the tired, BS "git gud" argument, are in that minority. But for everyone else, it's cancer. And there is a simple solution: skill-based matchmaking. The reason crucible is getting sweatier and sweatier is simple: More and more of the rest of us won't play it. And it's a shame, because crucible used to be fun. And if they'd actually have skill-based matchmaking, it would be. Sure, the sweats will start whining again like they did in D1 - remember when grenades didn't suck? - but when you're making everyone else quit playing, just so Joe Streamer can get his 40 kills a match, that's simply not sustainable. Fewer and fewer people play crucible at all. Eventually there will be nothing but sweats left. All the cannon fodder will be gone. So it's gonna happen either way. Might as well at least make the game enjoyable for everyone. Git gud, Bungie. Fix this mess.

Editado por pacificdune: 7/17/2019 2:44:28 PMSome games I’m at the top of the leader board, others I’m at the bottom and just trying to not feed the other team too many kills. The key thing that I like about the current system is that I know that if I play better I will be rewarded by improved stats instead of improved competition as it was with sbmm.

Editado por Soul_Eater_42: 7/17/2019 2:05:23 PMI don't think SBMM is the right answer. Iron Banner has it (supposedly), and is a total stompfest most of the time, with more lag. What Crucible needs--at least in Quickplay--is a post-matchmaking sorting function that evenly splits up and sorts the teams after they've all been queued, even if they're in a Fireteam. That way, one team doesn't have a massive advantage over the other.
-
Exactly this.

Editado por Gigafloh: 7/17/2019 1:51:03 PMI'm the guy with always 30+ kills but want SBMM too!!! The team with more players with strongly negative K/D's always loses, doesn't matter how good one may perform. It's not enjoyable to play with total noobs who spend their time all day fighting dumb AI.
-
But it wouldn't be enjoyable for everyone. Like you said the good players will complain. Because sbmm makes things laggier and even sweatier
-
The Iron Banner has skill-based matchmaking and it's a shit fest. I know it's frustrating getting pubstomped every now and then but I don't believe skill-based matchmaking is the answer.

Why does Everybody think sbmm Will solve anything, lets say we implement that. Then you would go from. 10 kills with 0.6 to games with 15 kills with a 0.9 because if you have prblm right now this wil prbly mean your not the player with the 30 kills, so when you implement sbmm you Will get near a 1.0 but even then you Will not be the 30 kills player because you struggle against you’re own skill lvl. I dont mind sbmm but you have to understand there is a playlist where you can go and have fun. Where there is a sbmm its called compettive. Your free to go in there and play. Dont know why you would want that in qp where you should be able to unwine. No dont get me wrong i run into my share of 6 stack nf players but that Will always be a thing because those player are looking on a 3 website at stats that dont matter. Insted of going for unbroken like Bungie intended. Hope this helps, the points i am making go play comp for fun after a whil you Will enjoy iT

I don't know if SBMM is the solution. It always has to be CBMM too. If you play a game when you clearly hit headshots but it shows no numbers it doesn't matter how skilled your opponent is he/she will win the fight. Dedicated server would solve a lot and then you only need SBMM but since we don't have these probably CBMM is the best of the 2. Although I am wondering if this works so well because it still gives me players with bad internet all the time. I almost think it is not CBMM but location based. And Americans think Russia is part of Western Europe. We already have our problems with the Italian, French and German internet and then they also give us Russians...

I dont mind playing it for fun but when Bungie forces us to play it for quest and then on top of that forces us to use certain weapons its just total agony. Im grinding for Thorn right now and the part where you have to use void hand cannons to get 500 pvp kills is absolutely ridiculous. Ive been using Ikelos but guess what the fire rate on it sucks for dealing with all the shotgun sliding ape scrubs. Ive gotten pretty decent with it but even in a decent match where i get like 15+ kills and go positive it still only bumps the quest progress up like 4%. Been grinding all night and am just now about to hit 50%
-
I used a cold sweat. Old hand cannon from trials that worked really well. But probably not everybody will have it. Kindled orchid from the forges is also void and pretty good.
-
I like the Ikelos but really the only thing to deal with Apes is last word but it gives less progress for the Thorn quest so i end up switching back and forth constantly because apes just never stop coming.
-
It is positioning and picking your moments. Shotgun apes mostly kill you while sliding around a corner.

I'll tell you right now, it's not exactly fun to be the person who gets 30 kills every game but still ends up losing due to poor lobby balancing. There already is a form of lobby balancing right now and it's not fun for anybody except 6 stacks running around with nfs. Also, we tried skill based matchmaking in D1 and it didn't work. Hence why they changed it back.
-
Seems the problem here is you, not the crucible. Why should Bungie cater to you and implement sbmm when you are playing for the same rewards?
-
Editado por A1CBeers: 7/17/2019 5:31:27 AMLook, you can't have your cake and eat it too. Skill-based based matchmaking is not as good as connection-based. We've had skill-based in the past and it was lag city. You don't like crucible? Fine. You can be mad all you want and say I'm repeating something you've heard thousands of times, but maybe the problem isn't crucible. Maybe it's you? If you're not a highly skilled player, then just accept that and move on. I have some people I play with that are awful, just awful, in crucible. But you know what? It's just a game and they have fun with it because those times that they pull a 4.5 kda out of nowhere they get super pumped. Otherwise, they know their KDA will be like 0.8 or whatever, and they're okay with that.
-
That would be fine if Bungie would stop putting every new and fun drop behind some bs PvP requirements. Or even if they gave us multiple paths to get to it where one of them isn't 100 matches of sweaty bs using a peashooter :)
-
Stop putting guns behind PvE activities! It's not fair that I have to grind forges and raids to get some of the better PvP weapons! Just give them to me as freebies! That's you. That's what you sound like.
-
But seriously, think about it. Some of the best PvP weapons come from PvE content. It's the exact same thing you're complaining about, but it is flipped around in a favorable manner for yourself, so you don't have a problem with that.
-
They tried sbmm and everyone cried then too at least some people aren’t crying now

I do wish grenades were good on all classes again... and throwing knives on hunter. But skill based match making was horrible. Most of the time, the game was a laggy mess because the guy you’re skill matches lives in India or otherwise has a crappy connection to you. This causes a situation where things that should have worked don’t, specifically due to connection. Something I never see in d2 is me landing headshots for no damage on a guy who is running into a wall, only to have him teleport strafing in the opposite direction 10 ft away from my reticle, seemingly instakilling me with what appears to be a single bullet from an auto rifle. This happened frequently in destiny 1 skill match making, my scene depicting an occasion back when doctrine of passing was a monster in the crucible.
-
The problem with that one guy at the top of the leader board with 30+ kills is not that he or she is any good, it's because bungie's rng picks one person per match that can take more damage and deal more damage. It happens every single match and its bullshit! Literally you need to put 3 or 4 more headshots into that person than everyone else, it's a complete joke of a system. Especially considering how much they blow themselves on how good they think p2p is for an online game. The only way they will ever listen or do anything about it, is when someone stands up shuts them down. Best part about it, is they have sold a broken product to millions and have no intention of fixing it or even acknowledging the real problems. Pretty sure they are breaking consumer rights of some kind.

hahahahhahahaha everybody get your tinfoil!

Constructive, well done.
