It’s Canada and not huge markup but prices are what they are and kid I’ve been a Bungie fan and player for over a decade and seen them fall from a company that cared about building the community and then to all the stuff over the last few years. They’re a shadow of their former selves and it’s sad cause so many of them used to be from the very community. So don’t be a little dog for them trying to fix their mistakes. Bungie gotta own up to them like a big boy company.

The New Light content (Destiny 2, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind) no longer contribute to the price. The 39.99 USD (or your equivalent) is entirely for Forsaken and the Forsaken: Annual Pass [this is now the Forsaken package]. Just like the 34.99 USD (or your equivalent) for Shadowkeep is entirely for Shadowkeep and the 1 season of content that's included [this is the Shadowkeep base package]. The Destiny 2 Forsaken Complete Collection comes with Forsaken AND the Forsaken: Annual Pass. Because it comes with more, all for the same price that Forsaken was all on its own, the Forsaken standalone purchase was removed from the platform stores. For the same price as it was, you get more, so there was no point in having it for sale all on its own. If your platform store isn't showing the discounted price that it should be, you'll need to contact your platform retailer to discuss the price disparity and alert them that they're charging way more than they should be. Bungie has formally stated that the official MSRP for the Destiny 2 Forsaken Complete Collection is now 39.99 USD (or your equivalent). All platform stores (Microsoft, Sony, Blizzard) should now show it at that new price (and this is the price that everyone keeps mentioning to you). Additionally, make sure and request a refund from Microsoft for the Forsaken: Annual Pass purchase that their system allowed you to buy without owning the prerequisite DLC. Their license system shouldn't have allowed you to purchase something without owning the thing it actually needs to function. Then you can put that towards purchasing what you're actually after.

The rest of your reply is meaningless as you are referring to 2 mistakes, neither of which was bungie's. You made a mistake by buying an add-on to an expansion you don't own and Microsoft made the mistake in selling it to you. So, own up to your own mistakes like a big boy and work it out with Microsoft or accept the fact you buggered your own game.
