48 RespuestasBoy did you pick the wrong crowd 😂! I am going to say 1 thing & it is about minimum wage. Raising it does nothing but hurt everyone. Stop what you are about to say and keep reading. As someone who has lived through quite a few "minimum wage raises", it fails every time. But why? Simple, there is no cost of living freeze. So 6 months before the raise hits, prices go up, companies make extra profits for 6 months and then everyone is right back where they started. There is nothing wrong with minimum wage as a starting pay. The problem comes from companies that see their employees busting their asses and think that 25¢ a year is a good raise. There was a time when you were evaluated and given a performance raise, but that went away because folks called racism or gender bias or discrimination. Every job needs to be done, but if you want quality, you reward those who are willing to work hard. By giving a performance raise, it basically encourages anyone who cares to compete for a higher wage with the person making the most and those who have no wish to improve, that is what a pink slip is for.
