Vanguard style LFG for Nightfall? [Rage post]

This is mainly a rage post after sitting here for well over 45 minutes looking at the same dang screen. Like many others I have been sitting here for way too long to enter a nightfall guided game, while not knowing how much longer or if I will even find a group at all. We cannot even free run in the open world to use time, instead I am stuck here just waiting on the same screen. Why would someone want to find a seeker when they aren't sure of their performance? I don't play with friends, I don't like to be bothered when doing my own thing, but I would sure like to earn Lumina, but how can I, if I cannot even enter the freaking nightfall that I am required to get 50k points on? I'm fine with having to repeat a nightfall multiple times to get it. But to waste HOURS just trying to get into a nightfall over multiple times a day, the Lumina seems like a waste of my time. I am okay with wanting to use a ticket each time I search as long as I can buy them, and I am okay with not being guaranteed players that can perform successful strikes. At least with this scenario I am actually trying, and doing nightfalls, instead of staring at a screen. I don't understand why Bungie set it up the way they did, are there even incentives for guides to find even one person? If you have a group made of friends, how difficult would it be to get a third, and just skip the guided process entirely. This is some crap. So Exactly an hour in at this point and no luck with getting a group, no timer to show how long, no number to show how many guides have searched for a guided player, and no number on how many seeker players are ahead of me. Just me, "Searching for guides... 1/3," and my crappy ship staring at the wall next to me. For pete's sake Bungie, at the very least let me run around. This is a joke. This game is so much fun, but if I am staring at a single screen for over an hour, it would be to the equivalent of watching paint dry. This isn't a game, just a boring moving picture with no light at the end of the tunnel. What a waste of the hour I had just sitting here. Screw the Lumina, I'm never getting it at this rate. I'm just going to go back to WoW. At least queueing for a raid finder as a DPS would get me in faster than this crap.

  • Guided games are a bust, man. I hate to say it. As others are suggesting, the fireteam tab is great for Nightfalls. Super easy, I haven’t had a bad one yet (although I did have to two-man a NF today when one member went afk unexpectedly but it was a breeze anyway and rarely ever happens).

  • Do people not know about the fireteam feature on Bungie.net?

    • OR.... you could use the fireteam finder on the app or website you used to post this and get a team.
