I have seen a few posts so far about the cores being this massive issue that is ruining the game, but this is a looter shooter . . .
I am just gonna post my reply from another thread stating enhancement cores should be removed
"For some context, I just came back to the game about a week ago after quitting a year and a half ago (according to the clan I was in with a few friends, I stopped playing on Dec. 17, 2017) and I am having no issues with cores for a few different reasons.
1) I love trying out new weapons and I use the Light Level as an excuse to try all sorts of different armor and weapons as I creep towards cap (which means I very rarely use cores)
2) I spend a few cores to masterwork a great weapon I find so I can infuse later
3) If I wanna go run a nightfall or do a raid I will pull some gear that I have saved that was good while leveling and infuse to the light level
4) I run all dailies and weeklies I can whenever I get on, which includes pursuits that give cores, but I only play 3-4 days a week because I work 12 hours a day
5) Because I do not play every day I find it easier to infuse stuff when I want since I always have dailies and weeklies to finish that just give me more
As a couple people already mentioned, this is a RPG with mmo elements, so it is obvious to the average person that there will be grinding involved to level up. All I have seen in these posts is people whining for a reason they created. When leveling up in a gear based rpg you are not supposed to have the strongest gear until you reach endgame anyways. To all these complaining kids, stop whining and start grinding, or get out."
I am curious if anyone out there can change my mind. :)

A big turn-off for grinding out enhancement cores is loading screens. There are too damn many loading screens. It's reached the point where I don't want to play because the bounties are boring, loading screens suck, and I would much rather have either A - Cores be earnable from other activities (eg. Menagerie, Escalation Protocol, Heroic Public Events, Strikes, etc.) or B - The removal of cores from infusion. Gunsmith Bounties are a great idea, but they needed to be an addition not a replacement.
-
I like how this doesn't acknowledge them specifically in Infusion, which is the only problem with them. Cores need repurposing, not removal from the game.

I got up to 85 just by deleting stuff out of the vault

3 RespuestasEditado por name: 6/27/2019 1:00:40 PMenhancement cores suck, as long as they exist im staying away from destiny , which is kinda sad because destiny1 was pretty fun , once they created the abomination destiny2 everything was ruined

7 RespuestasIt's not really an issue just a new light cap and everyone likes there current gear so they keep infusing it over and over again instead of shelving it and pulling it back out and infusing at 750
-
30 RespuestasIt's not an issue for you. You have 1 active character. You don't get to comment on this simply because of that.

2 RespuestasIt's so crazy to me that people are still complaining about this. Here's the thing for y'all: Want to have to grind for planetary materials, glimmer, or possibly something else for infusion even more than we have to right now? Have them remove cores then. Currently they're used in 2 different processes and are insanely easy to get. Most people complaining about them likely wouldn't last a second in other MMO's, because honestly this grind is nothing. If it's really that much of a hassle for you to literally just play the game more than honestly why do you currently play it? Do you enjoy it as is? Because let me tell you this: The game is going to become even more like an MMO very soon and that means more grinds, more power-leveling, and more farming for mats. Be glad the game is in easy mode right now, because it's only going to get harder for most of y'all who are just here to look pretty and shoot some aliens.

Gunsmith bounties have really changed things - so easy and 3 per character per day. Spider's bounties (the 3 easy ones) were always a pretty easy source too but haven't really found the need for those since the Gunsmith started handing them out like candy.
-
Honestly they are dead easy to get now. Doing the 3 x daily gunsmith bounties takes ONE run of the lost sector by the Artifacts Edge on Nessus. I dont play every day and I spend 10 mins when I play running that on my two high light characters and getting them done. You get mod components for that as well so I dont have to do the pull from collections cheese for them anymore which I love. That being said I still dont think they belong in infusion in the first place, but thats just my opinion. A "so called" rare material shouldn't be used for every day things like infusing.

Enhancement Cores were originally named, meant to be for, and used as Masterwork Cores.
-
What's the point? There has been a consistent outcry over it since it happened, but Bungie has only pretended to listen and people have either left or given up. Personally, I have pretty much given up on it. Bungie could care less if I had an opinion, let alone what it was.
-
Change poll to two questions. Most who are against cored infusion can answer top or bottom, making the middle option appear to be the winner.
-
I'm honestly fine with the amount that you're guaranteed to get from the gunsmith each week. I just wish there was some way to actually grind for them.

6 RespuestasAfter having this post up for a couple days we are at: -44 people think the system needs changed in some way (combined first and third option) -52 people don't think the system needs to be changed at all (took a vote off to not count myself) Looks like the majority of people so far don't have an issue with the core system, which is nice information :)

I posted this somewhere else, but thought that I could post here for discussion as well. Right now I voted for adding more cores each week because I think cores aren't the problem, but I also think that master working could be improved. "Sorry, long post, but I have ideas. It depends on how you look at it. Right now cores are used for infusion and master working. Bungie wants to keep masterwork items from becoming too common so that when you masterwork gear it feels like you have accomplished something, and you need to make a decision to masterwork that piece of gear. It grants the item more meaning. If you can masterwork everything, then master working losing it's value and becomes something that everyone has easily. There are some solutions that can be used to fix the issue with masterwork cores now. I think that infusion shouldn't cost cores. It should still cost glimmer, shards, weapon parts, and maybe planetary materials (those are also on my list of why have these), but not masterwork cores. That would get rid of the period in new seasons where everyone has just thrown on whatever drops they get to buff light until they hit max light and can infuse without wasting their cores. Masterwork Cores are not needed to make the gun/armor more valuable. I think a better system would be a use based progression system. In this case let's take a look at a cool hand cannon you just got. It has the perfect rolls for whatever you have planned for it, and it has a masterwork that will help it excel. To get that masterwork you use the hand cannon in different activities, get kills, and some activities like comp, nightfalls, or menagerie for menagerie weapons increases the bar faster. Once complete you take it to Banshee and he completes the masterwork, and maybe you get a lore drop about how he is a depressingly forgetful robot after too many reboots. That would add more interaction with an NPC and develop the world further. It also operates exactly like how exotic masterworks are now, except for with legendary weapons you can choose to start it without finding the masterwork and players like taking their favorite weapons into different areas, so not designating crucible for crucible and visa versa would keep people happy (sometimes). Armor would operate in the same way, the more completions wearing the armor the more the bar progresses and with certain completions the bar progresses faster. For extra special armor, like raid armor or if we ever get special armor for comp (trials might come back eventually) that armor can be upgraded in only that raid, and maybe master working it could increase the benefits of the slotted raid mod. I think that progression and rewards needs work, but I understand that Bungie has a lot of plates spinning right now. So, while my ideas might work, they also may not be the best fit until we learn more about how Darker Below is going to work with progression and armor mods."

Editado por Harumi: 6/24/2019 5:08:50 PMBy the way, some people may not know that if a weapon you use for synthesis is a copy of the same weapon you're upgrading, the synthesis only costs 5000 Glimmer! I think it's as friendly an option as any ^3^

2 RespuestasWell IMO they shouldnt be for infusing. Instead a high amount should be usable to re roll the masterwork. I hate that we only have mods (and shaders) to customize our weapons..
-
1 Respuesta9 free cores from bounties each day and 1 to 2 more from spider depending on how many shards you have. Infusing stuff before max level is people’s faults.

Editado por Harumi: 6/24/2019 2:02:21 PMI could change your mind if I had an opposite opinion >w< I almost totally agree though. The cores were never too hard to get, were quite easy to get since Forsaken, and now they're even easier to get thanks to new Banshee-44 contracts. If a person doesn't receive any core for a long period of time, it's simply lack'o'luck factor or a bug (like the bug with corsair badges nowadays). The cores are not to blame in either case. They are fine. Even such a non-grinder-outsider as myself don't experience any terrible problems with (and without) them. Besides,
you are not supposed to have the strongest gear until you reach endgame anyways.
Moreover, you are not supposed to have the strongest gear at all, because it's not obligatory in common (in particular it is, for some activity unlocks).
and start grinding, or get out."
Or get lucky (we're up all night lalala) ~♪

1 RespuestaThey don't need to be removed, they just shouldn't be a part of infusion when you look at the sheer amount of weapons and gear we have, some across 3 characters, that needs infusing.
