Thought we took back The Moon when we booted Crota off it. Why/How is it still an area that harbors our enemies? Not sure about anyone else, but it really feels like we gain NO GROUND in this war. No matter how many victories we have, enemies we kill, raids we clear... it's really meaningless because we make no actual progress towards freeing our Solar System from our enemies and taking it back. There's no progression. At this point, we should've: Taken back Earth. Freed Venus from the Vex after VOG. Taken back the Moon. Taken back Mars after releasing Rasputin. At the very LEAST. But nah. We got our little city that we got booted out of after the Red Legion "ambushed" us out of nowhere. A bit tired of that. No progression towards the overall struggle. What are we even doing? What gains are we making? We kill millions of red bars, kill their yellow/orange commanders, wipe out meaningful boss level enemies in missions, strikes, dungeons, and raids. But we gain NO GROUND. We've taken NOTHING BACK beyond our little Last City. Any gains we make are stroked away because the folks running the story can't and don't think of actually progressing our struggle. They just bend the story to accommodate what's convenient for them to make their new content easier to create. WTFever I guess. Keep shooting aliens. Keep having fun playing with friends. Progressing the story and making our actions and victories meaningful take a back seat to 180ing the established story because it's more convenient to push content. The story doesn't mean anything. I'm sick of it. In Halo, your actions in the struggle MATTERED. You gained ground. You pushed back the Covenant. You incited a Covenant rebellion. You scattered the established enemy hierarchy into the wind and beat them back. Only to discover new enemies. But you gained ground with your victories. In Destiny, you don't. And I'm giving up we really ever will. Don't care anymore. Shoot aliens, don't think, have fun with friends. Got it.
