Magnificent Howl nerf shows Bungie's failure to think.

I understand the gun was a problem. 2 tapping with a 180 was slightly ridiculous, but why was magnificent howl changed? I keep running it in my head and none of it makes sense. The 150 archetype change was sufficient enough. Think about it. The frequency of two tapping people in crucible was quite uncommon. It was situational, and I think I managed to pull it off only two or three times total in the space of several months. It was not the serious problem people make it out to be. Plenty of other 150s and other archetypes can two tap guardians. Duke Mk 44, Kindled Orchid, Azimuth D, nation of beasts, Agamid, and so many others have the potential to 2 tap, so then why is it such a problem to keep magnificent howl the same as it was? Now, not only is it slightly gimped in damage output compared to the two tap handcannons, but it's also totally worthless in pve. I don't know about other Guardians, but my go-to pve handcannon was always Not forgotten/Luna. It felt crispy, clean and was satisfying to chain headshots against boss's crit spots. It felt like a D1 handcannon. Now it's trash for pve. As it stands, the hand cannon no longer feels like a 5500 weapon. The grind to reach Not Forgotten is astronomical for a great deal of many players, and the questline is definitely not fun. As such, with the mag howl perk nerfed into the ground, I'm sorry but Not Forgotten just doesn't feel like it has the right to be a 5500 pinnacle reward any longer. The 150 archetype change was good enough. So many guns can easily outgun Luna/NF, and imo luna is just not worth even going for. Without the range advantage of NF, luna is outgunned by virtually everything in the game. Why are destiny players now being punished for hitting headshots, like the weapon was originally designed for? All of this coupled together just shows defective thought. Is there some chance mag howl will be changed back to the way it was? Because at it stands now, it is an absolutely useless perk. The gun was designed to hit headshots. This is very counter intuitive to its design. It just feels like a slightly above average handcannon these days. Just my two cents. If you have nothing constructive to say, and just want to tear into me for "crutching on it" in pve... just, don't bother wasting either of our time.
