Serious Question. And I would really appreciate someone in an official capacity chiming in on this because it wasnt handled
So, before numbers on the game were obscured ...for reasons... the optics on D2 was that its player numbers were dropping like a lead weight in the ocean with no stop in sight.
Then after a while, some disappointment, two tokens and a blue, etc, forsaken happened, and it seemed like a percentage of the at least curent player base re-upped with that. And then a number of them vowed to never return as a character was removed for no real reason to the story other than to try and bring in interest into the forsaken dlc.
Then the Last Wish raid happened, and it gave us a REALLY good look at how Bungie had designed new content for Viewing, not for Playing, despite making claims of more single player support, a raid had been explicitly designed and returned to cut out most of the existing player base in favor of only people who could have possibly exploited their way or grinded roughly 12-16 hours a day to get into a single raid on day 1... and that was a SOUR pill to take
This essentially happened again with Forge, and more recently, Crown of Sorrow, in which the level cap was dropped lower , but the way power leveling worked, and the date upon which it was released, was not feasible for most people who would have ever attempted it in the past.
So, you have a couple issues here to solve for the new update.
1. How are you going to get single players into groups for raids and end game content, which hasnt worked in the past.
2. How is (LIMITED) free to play going to bring more people in if there is/isnt a reasonable system for getting single players into end game (raid/nf) strike teams.
3. How are you planning on rectifying the loss of those original players who were so absolutely let down the first season that people currently still playing could not convince them it was worth coming back to. (Suggestion : See questions 1 and 2)
Now, I know this started with a lot of negativity, and im sure we're all of different opinions on the content, but, these things DID happen. What ALSO happened, was a good amount of experimentation on engagements, mainly the process of taking Escalation protocol, converting it over into the blind well, moving that over into Gambit as a PVPVE, and then back into PVE as the Menagerie, this was good, very good in fact.
Destiny needs more things that bring people together without the need for pre-comped strike teams, clans, etc, those are good, do more of that, infact, change all the existing ones, to allow for matchmaking, removing that social barrier, it will do you some good. But please address my three main questions.

Streamers will get everything they’ve asked for, nolifer streamer wannabes will proclaim it a triumph, but I think probably a lot of the rest of the current player base will be off actually enjoying themselves playing Borderlands 3. Tbh I’m really seeing the free to play move in this context - they know they’ve already alienated a lot of players who’ve supported them for years, but rather than try winning these people back, they’re gonna double down and hope to get a bunch of new kids in instead. FWIW, I think they have more problems with the people they’ve driven away with their decisions in season 2 than those who dropped between vanilla and Warmind. Don’t see it happening myself.

Editado por reenry: 6/9/2019 8:58:12 AMBungie’s dream is to make this game more enjoyable with playing with other people. Which honestly it kind of is. Just because you solo doesnt mean they have to cater to you. If you don’t like team play this game is not for you, and does not mean you should change it. If people don’t like the solo play they can quit, but that wont stop people playing with there friends and newer players that get hooked. Free to play games that are of AAA quality are eye candy and done right can hook people in, regardless of boundaries.

I mean, a human being should be called dumb if he can't find a group on LFG or create one. I used to not have a mic and i still got alot of raid encounter wins.

5 RespuestasI disagree with a lot of these points honestly. Raids are meant to be an amazing experience to have with a group of guardians. Mechanics, giant epic boss battles, and crazy cool weapons/armor. They just acknowledged that this is an MMO now. That means more grindyness and more activities geared towards teams. I’m not quite sure what you want from them. It wasn’t clear really. Bungies plan is to bring old D1 veterans, along with MMO enthusiasts and looter shooter players into destiny. They are embracing the MMO RPG Elements. I’m wondering what you want them to do? When did they promise a ton of solo content? Why did you think this game would be different from D1? Do you want them to take resources from making their most popular/staple activities like raids and dungeons, and focus on solo content that will only benefit solo players and go completely against the direction they just decided to go in? I don’t get what you want and I have endless questions from your questions. Bungie isn’t going to change directions. I honestly don’t know why some insist on playing solo. I get if you have extreme anxiety problems, then of course you can play solo. But don’t expect a multiplayer game to cater to it. And the others don’t have a reason other than their too lazy. Join a clan, join a discord, join an lfg, whatever. You can interact with people and talk with them. There’s no reason to be playing solo unless it’s medical/psychological.
