Aka, you can be a homosexual. You're just not allowed to live a normal life with the person you love.

It's a difficult conundrum, I know. That may be why so many denominations are blessing gay relationships, "marrying" gay couples, and expecting their clergy to be welcoming and affirming with practicing homosexuals: they can't figure how a loving God would want people who genuinely love one another to be apart. Truth be told, I'm on the fence on the subject; it's too complex a moral knot for me to untie. I won't completely ignore the Bible, but I won't ignore the fact that I've been at gay-friendly churches and have encountered gay people who genuinely strive to be people after God's own heart. In cases like this, the best thing to do it turn it over to the One who admonishes us not to judge, and decide that He's got this.

You can love someone without having sex with them and treating them like a mate.

This shows me that your sense of morality is probably better than that of the Bible’s.
-
It shows that I'm leaving the matter in the hands of the One whose morality is perfect.
-
Except that’s still prohibited by the Bible.

You've taken a side, I get that. I've opted not to.

That’s fine. You can have your own opinion.
