It's free wall hacks. Tbh I never liked this armor in d1, but free wall hacks seem very good to me.

Editado por Ghostfire239: 6/5/2019 10:55:53 PMThat’s not really a good enough excuse. My friend got it and I tried it out for a couple games. The Truesight lasts literally 2 seconds. That’s basically pointless. Also you don’t need truesight in melee range. Dropping a smoke when you melee your enemy isn’t good either since you’re in MELEE RANGE. They don’t need to see you, they just gotta melee you. Not to mention the fact that there is a delay on the smoke effect so if the enemy is moving it won’t even do anything to them. The best way to use it is with bottom tree Nightstalker (aka literally the worst subclass path in the game) but even then, it’s just a worse version of the Way of the Wraith set up. Sorry but this exotic is utter booty cheeks. They need to just make the exotic be like what it was back in D1. This thing absolutely sucks in D2.

Dropping a smoke when hitting enemies from behind is -blam!-ing sencefull! It makes you harder to kill since we need to turn around first before we can attack you. With the smoke it is even more impossible to directly aim at you.

If you were walking when you got hit you wouldn’t even be touched by the smoke. Also that’s a very specific scenario you’re talking about and will rarely ever even happen. Not to mention that it would be pointless since you’d kill them via a second melee attack with or without the smoke. The smoke is basically there as a dramatic flare. Sorry but if that’s supposed to be your excuse, it was a horrible one I’m just gonna assuming you’re joking.

I'm not joking. A smoke, even from range, can make a big difference for all enemies.

You’re using it at melee range. That’s not gonna make a difference whatsoever. In most melee engagements you’re both meleeing each other. One of you will be dead before the smoke even appears. May give the exotic a try before trying to blindly defend it. You’re excuses don’t seem logical at all. You sound like some who’s defending it for because you have something against Hunters. Which you kinda already stated in one of your own comments.

Or the issue in our conversation is that I expect to much interpretation skills from others once again... Let me make it more clear since I have the time to write this right now: Imagine you use those gauntlets as a hunter and you attack a guardian in melee range and kill him. The smoke grenade detonates on your feet. 50 meters away from you is an opponent coming around the corner. He saw you using the melee against his mate. He tries to aim for you but can't see properly because of your smoke grenade. The grenade covers your escape route out of the melee fight. And besides that I'm pretty sure this exotic is meant to be used in pve where attacking enemy groups with melee is a more coon situation than in crucible. The smoke should help there really mucb since smokes make the enemies confused/blind.

The enemy can’t aim at you because he can’t see you through the smoke? Really? You do realize that the smoke effect isn’t all that big right? Not to mention that is doesn’t actually hide you all that much. They can still see you pretty easily so long as they’re not in the smoke. So your scenario would actually play out with the new enemy just shooting you and most likely killing you. Even for PvE, the old perk would have actually been better in D2 because you could have used it with Way of the Warrior due to the 4x melee damage in the back plus Combination blow. Sorry but there is no way you can justify how bad this exotic is. If you actually used it you’d know how bad it is. It’s not even mediocre, it legitimately a bad exotic.

Like I said. I didn't like it in d1, so I don't mind the way they are. But I get the point.
-
But to get those wall hacks you have to melee someone which basically makes the wall hacks useless because you have barely any time to use them. The D1 perk was 1,000,000x better.

Editado por jack_zedd: 6/5/2019 11:04:51 PMTry using bottom tree voidwalker with khepris, use smoke to get invisible. Wall hacks ;) Edit: I mean stand in the smoke an you'll get truesight
-
Tried this. A: You get a whopping two seconds. B: You're forgetting the first part of the perk in that situation is completely ignored due to its uselessness. C: If you truly want true sight then go nightstalker mid tree where it doesn't cost you an exotic, you get a decent super, and most importantly you get to activate true sight back to back if you manage to simply shoot your enemy in the head while crouching.
-
ok. I didn't create this. I never liked it in D1, so for me it sounds better the way it is. Too bad bottom tree voidwalker sucks.
-
I know. I just liked how the perk sounded. I'm just sad to see something that could've made you like an assassin and from what I've seen it could one-shot somebody in their super like peregrine greaves if you managed to hide and stab them despite you being revealed on the map through it blinking your location. I was just hyped to see something neat.
