For the following reasons, I dislike matchmaking in strikes:
(WHY I DONT LIKE MATCHMAKING, NOT WHY MATCHMAKING IS BAD. If I go to matchmaking, I expect this stuff, I want somewhere I can avoid it, while having a relaxing, easy shootfest.)
1) Skipping enemies for the sake of time, when it would only add a minute or two to kill them all.
2)AFK bots will find a way, like dinosaurs
3)People who grief eachother
I edited this due to much angst it caused. I seen what I seen, they're out there boys...I ain't crazy
4) it's rare nowadays, but still I run into people who don't know what to do on strikes, or they are simply refusing to do what theyre supposed to in order to grief
I'm not above teaching, but I'd like a space where I won't have to if I'm not in the mood
5) everyone has different paces, and enjoy different kinds of strategy. It just doesn't make sense to force everyone to play together, especially on a simple activity that can be fun for everyone in different ways.
I'm also IN SUPPORT of you speed running through a matchmade strike.
In support of you speed running by yourself.
I know I'm in the minority. Being autistic I rarely relate to people. So it's not a surprise and you arent a genius for pointing it out...
I want my minority crowd to have a space to do our minority stuff away from you and your majority, requiring almost no development time, negligibly extra server space or resources, and no negative impact on the majority exerience.
apparently, wanting to do the strike my own way in a solo queue is dictating how others play, someone please explain how having me and a few thousand others in private strikes would hurt you?
1 RespuestaIt should be complete 3 strikes a week, not match your subclasses for it to count.
-
1 RespuestaThis is part of why I think the current game system is flawed and why I think strikes need to be revamped entirely. It makes no sense that someone that just wants completions would be matched up with someone that needs specific kills. Individual player objectives tend to ruin the balance of activities because of this. Or even the experience of an activity in general. The current activity that we call strikes should be story only. More like story missions or side quests with matchmaking that can also be done solo when the player is first progressing through the story or for fun later because they chose to do it. Beyond that, the strike playlist should be something different entirely.

i am for optional matchmaking for everything.. that includes the option to NOT matchmade .. should have been a no brainer from the get go.. optional for everything. simple as that..

3 RespuestasI really can't understand why Firewalled Strikes aren't a thing. Some people might want to run solo for an extra challenge, some people might want to farm specific kills, and some people might just not want to deal with other players while knocking their Milestones out. It literally hurts no one to have a toggle switch to opt in/opt out. Just one more thing on the long list of QoL changes that Bungie won't do.

I don't always kill steal, but when I do, I do it in strikes 👍
-
20 RespuestasBruh we play the same strikes over and over hundreds of times if you wanna shoot every damn dreg then that's your choice am gonna skip the parts you can skip, deal with it or find a team that you can be slow with.
-
10 RespuestasThe fact that you want to kill every single trash mob you see makes every thing else you said irrelevant

6 RespuestasEditado por Walshy: 6/2/2019 1:38:25 PMYou are a team in a strike ,it’s not a competition on who gets the most kills If you’re working on a quest step then you going into strikes is not guaranteeing that you’ll get every kill ,Strikes are not designed around quest steps or competition ,they’re focused on getting from A to B and overcoming that challenge in between I can’t really believe you when you say people deliberately go into strikes just to kill steal ,Its a godamn strike,People are going to shoot ads And You say that people that don’t shoot enemies are a problem ,What are you trying to prove? That people are prícks for shooting your ads ,yet are also prícks for not ? Seriously listen to yourself ,You’re asking for a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist ,This post is so self centred and doesn’t benefit anyone but yourself If someone messaged me saying “don’t shoot anything” during a strike I’d straight up laugh ,I didn’t decide to play a strike to watch someone else do it ,that’s absolutely ridiculous I honestly don’t know why you’re so hellbent on getting kills but I’m just gonna assume that you’re doing a quest step or something so if you want to upgrade your step try the following : Lost Sectors ,Patrols ,literally anything else besides a strike ,because when you go into that strike you can’t just assume that the other 2 teammates can’t do anything but sit down and watch Jesus this was so stupid

6 RespuestasJust saying: why is it so bad if someone wants to skip enemies and run through? Unless you have a quest like ace of spades requiring strike kills, you lose out on nothing really. Even with a quest like that, you can stay back and kill all you want. Heck, now you don't have others stealing those kills! Because I will skip the infinite forest every freaking time. That is if I even stay for the strike. Garden World is the worst strike these games have ever seen. And Mercury strikes show up 70% of the time for me.

1 RespuestaTheres no way I am going to kill every enemy in a strike
-
1 RespuestaObvious bait is obvious. Muted for stupidity.
-
2 RespuestasSo everyone has different paces and strategies, but if they don’t follow yours they’re awful people? Hypocritical much
-
6 RespuestasSo, you needed 10 shotgun kills do your Vanguard bounty, and every time you charged close to an enemy to get the shot, someone more efficient shot them first? Strikes are generally run for one reason. And it's not because they're exciting and fun. Finish quick please. Most of us have run these things hundreds of times. I will not wait for you to shoot everything.
-
1 RespuestaKilling everything in the strikes serves absolutely no purpose. They're put there to stall you, not stop you. If you're able to bypass them without issue, do so. Kill-stealing in strikes is not a thing. It's a cooperative activity, working together is the point. The worst thing you'll suffer from having a kill 'stolen' is it takes just a tad longer to get your super. I suggest you stick to singleplayer games. You seem to be averse to team work, and desire to play at your own pace whilst being bothered by others playing at theirs.

You don’t need a firewall option for strikes. Want to solo strikes? Buy a Five of Swords from Xur, set the parameters to adjust the difficulty to your liking, and solo a Nightfall. Not that hard, have personally soloed every Nightfall strike available. I will say that in my estimation the Corruption strike Nightfall is the most difficult to solo without dying, but still definitely doable. And you’ll have a chance of scoring some of that sweet sweet Nightfall specific loot! The only differences between this and a firewall option is that you have to wait for the weekly rotation for certain strikes to become available, and tour equipment gets locked each time you start the strike. (΄◉◞౪◟◉`)

4 RespuestasU are spazzing put because of kill stealing in STRIKES? Lmao they are strikes not the MLG pve grand finals 😂

At this point in the lifespan of the game, I don't understand players that rush through strikes killing little to no enemies. What's the point of playing strikes if you aren't enjoying the ride? The strike rewards aren't worth anything, so the only reason we have left to play them is for the "fun". If you want it over so quickly, may as well cut to the chase and not play them at all.
-
I mean private strikes list would be fun. Like the gambit prime private matches

There is no doubt.

1 RespuestaIf you want to solo anything in destiny just change your time and date setting to some random date and time in the past. It will take longer to lead a strike, but you'll be solo. Works great for farming things like escalation too
-
Completely Agree! Sometimes (actually most of the time) I just want to play a strike without having to worry about other peoples shit. nightfalls don't often suit this as they are higher difficulty and lock your gear. maybe its just because im autistic too but i agree
-
2 RespuestasI agree, matchmaking can pair you with really awful players.
-
1 RespuestaSo nerf fusion rifles?
-
1 RespuestaPeople that play this game are assholes.
-
5 RespuestasRun an easy mode NF solo.. You can complete most of if not all the Vangard bounties. 1 run and done.. you dont even need to finish. Solves ALL the issues you described.
-
1 Respuestathere are ways how you can solo que every strike and play it solo all the way end at least for me it's working haven't done it while so idk if works anymore
