Whimper of the Worm
Now that Whisper of the Worm is going to be Whimper of the Worm, can we just make it a decent legendary instead of a crappy exotic?

Interestingly, back in D1 they referred to the OG Black Hammer as ‘a legendary with an exotic perk’ and the Black Spindle as ‘an exotic with a legendary perk’.

19 RespuestasIt's still going to be well worth the exotic slot. The main benefit is the automatic reload and high DPS, not the infinite ammo. That's just something that allows you to cheese certain things.

Exotic special makes more sense to me. It still will do good damage but as a heavy is outclassed.

Also it still is a damn powerful rifle. We have our ammo back, it still is the highest impact sniper, interesting enough for non luna-warlocks who run void or arc and for Hunters as well. People act like as if has been nerfed down damage wise, got its catalyst nerfed as well and is now a legendary low-mid impact sniper. White Nail still has its use and is unique enough for a gun perk. Not to mention it was the main purpose of the perk, as an actual anti-reload infinite mag perk. Getting ammo back always felt like a bonus. But heh, you know what. The gun will be used on Tuesday next week and we aaaaall know that.

Just feed your whimpering worm a Male Enhancement Core and it'll be as powerful as it was before the nerf. *Call 911 if Male Enhancement Core buff lasts longer than 20 minutes, be sure to check with your doctor that your light level is high enough before engaging in Raid activities.

It is so sad! This gun was exactly what the Blackhammer was in D1 only that was not an exotic. Then they nerfed it in D1 to the exotic Black Spindle. Then they released the Whisper of the Worm and suddenly they are surprised that it was like the Blackhammer? Why bring it back in the first place like that? The reduction of ammo was a good thing cause now you have to be more accurate. But still they think it is a bad idead and they nerf it to what the Black Spindle was. Which is bad! Why? Because with Warlocks lunafaction boots and the Titan's rally barricade it doesn't make the gun special anymore! What they should do is changing the exotic perk to something more useful to make the gun at least feel exotic again. Like doing 20% more damage every crit you hit or something. So if you hit all shots your 18th shot does 360% damage. Or that every 3rd hit does massive bonus damage with an explosion!

5 RespuestasWhisper will be fine. It’s ammo capacity is going back to 18 I think and that’s probably enough to kill most bosses if you have good aim.

2 RespuestasWhisper is useless now, we already have lunafaction boots and rally barricades, what good is reloading from the reserves? If it truly NEEDED a nerf then why not just make it have no reserves like Icebreaker? That way you keep the infinite ammo and it causes you to make your shots count.

16 RespuestasIt should of been like this at launch. Having nearly infinite ammo isn't good for a game. This weapon is still powerful but now you need to be wise on your shots.

1 RespuestaComparing WotW and D.A.R.C.I isn’t even appropriate. Two totally different monsters. Mulligan or like the classic White-Nail perk are not strong enough to be exotic. I don’t support D.A.R.C.I in power slot though. Sure it’s exotic worthy but not power slot. This is speaking strictly PvP I should add.
