Now I know I'm not the best at the game. I cannot aim for the head if my life depended on it. I'm actually garbage in the crucible and someone needs to take me out. But I do enjoy playing the game and want to complete the Reckoner title. I am not a good invader, but I'm gonna have to start learning how to be one.
So I started my journey as an invader today. In one game I didn't get any kills of the opposing team, but I'm trying. And this random dude on my team just messaged me after our loss and called me trash af, a troll, and told me to quit.
If I could post his gamertag here for nameshaming or a suspension or whatever, I would because I believe in karma.
I don't know what it is, but I just get so tight and nervous when I invade. I know what to do, but the instant I go through that portal, all sense of functionality and purpose just disappears until I die or go back. Like I constantly go back and forth in my mind, going "Do I want to go for that guy or that guy?" And then one second later after I've decided, the guy that I didn't go for kills me, meanwhile the guy I was hunting stays alive with 15 motes. At the same time, my aiming just goes out the window because why not?
1 RespuestaEditado por Sciophyte: 10/27/2019 5:56:17 PMI know I'm probably necro'ing this thread, but if you haven't yet, go get yourself the aptly named Deathbringer from the Shadowkeep expansion. It's not hard to obtain, fires tracking projectiles like a whole battery of Joetuns, and you don't even need line of sight. Works equally great on opposing guardians and Primevals. But hey, by now you may have become a god-like invader and no longer need any advice at all...
-
Just ignore them. You'll get better at invading over time, you just need to keep at it. I reccomend a blast furnace/bygones/outbreak/arbalest, Jötuun/a sniper/lunas if you have it/trust if you don't have lunas, and hammerhead or a tracking rocket. Don't feel bad if you invade and don't get any kills, happens to the best of us. Just keep at it and you'll get better.

4 RespuestasSounds and looks like you are trash af as an invader. Stop invading and let those with skill do it
-
1 Respuestaget a wardcliff coil with the catalyst , or a jotunn and spam that shit you will be a god like everyone who spams that no skill trash. Im serious. You'll be the best trash invader stealing the power ammo for your team and never killing the boss. most drepgens are low skill trash that abused queensbreaker linear trash, that no one uses now because bungie turned off easy mode on it.

13 RespuestasEditado por Verke0: 5/26/2019 6:19:00 PMIts always fun to be holding people back because you desire a title. Like that one guy that doesnt help killing adds and just stays at the portal waiting for it to open. Or that guy that Camps around heavy ammo with still 20 seconds on the timer. Let me tell you a secret. All your co-players are randoms as well and you are, because of your own selfish needs, holding everyone back. If you suck at invading, please for the love of god, stop invading! You are just wasting everyones time for a title you obviously dont deserve. Sorry if Im being a bit harsh, but sometimes you’ve got to let go, man. Peace

Lmao Just ignore all that shit. You can’t get good if you don’t try.

There are many ways to invade. I personally don’t go in with heavy, I use a blast furnace and shotgun or jotun. Heavy’s just a bonus As far as supers go, a roaming one is best Or you could use a troll super like a well or ward of dawn to drain motes with full perks Speaking on that, full set (or 4 and synth) is the main weapon. Just locking the bank is enough to buy time. Some people with large motes tend to stay away, so less to deal with. I ended up using arbalest and crooked fang for kills. Goldie for super Other than that, I took about 3 weeks for reckoner. I know more tricks if ya need it

3 RespuestasYes, little snowflake, the world is too cruel to you. But then again maybe you should not be ruining the game for other people if you know that you suck at this specific role? And maybe you really want to improve in PvP first, there is the crucible quickplay playlist for this.

Editado por brotherR3mus: 5/27/2019 9:19:08 AMI kept getting called a hacker while invading and I also got booted offline a few times while playing gambit so I just stopped invading. It's funny how the ones that call you a hacker are the ones that will DDoS you.

12 RespuestasEditado por DHawk12: 5/25/2019 1:44:34 AMI got called a “tryhard fake pvp trash can” cuz i got like 25 guardian kills and i was rocking my invader emblem. This guy was RAGING! But for real, dont invade unless NOBODY wants to invade or you are REALLY good. Invading (with 15 aura) is the most important role.
-
Dude. You invaded and got 0 kills. I'd be upset with you if you were on my team. I'm an invader. I have the full prime set and everything. You may want to get a hang of crucible before you start invading. You also need to get the hang of making split second decisions because from what you described it's holding you back. Always target whoever has the most motes first unless someone else gets in your way.
-
That's pretty bad. Until you can prioritize your targets a second or two after you go over, you shouldn't go over. And you really shouldn't be going over until you get over your "shut down" issue. You should really try fixing this in crucible by trying to win 1v1's before going into gambit. You should also really consider if this is really worth going for. But whatever you do, please, for the love of god, if you match up with me...Let me go over.

Keep trying dont worry about what others say or do.

Abysmal PvP player here (k/d 0.3 in Crucible, I doubt you any worse). It took me over 100 matches in Crucible to like it. I'm still bad, but at least I more or less understand the way it works and find enjoyment in it. But I'm weird, I can find enjoyment in many activities other people will go full barfu and snooze due to boredom. :) Never played for title or anything. Excluding my Collector's triumph, which I used as reference point for getting Spare Rations. I just gave myself a word that if I won't get one for completing it, I'll stop playing. That's what I did. But I digress. Even though I'm super bad in PvP and I never willingly invaded (thus I have 0 invasions in Prime) - all my invasions in Classic were due to me being pushed into portal via long gone Phalanxes or Boss' stampede - I managed to earn Army of One medals. Your job as invader is to win time. By any means - wiping out opponents and healing primeval, denying motes, or simply locking our the bank. The latter is so broken, defending team has nothing to do against it, even sentry is useless. And more than once I saw how invader tremendously helped his team by just locking out the bank. True, it doesn't mean "pacifist invasion" always help your team to win - managed to compensate like 60 motes deficit and win over (managed to lose as well:D), but there is a plenty of ways be useful for your team both as invader and on "home ground". As an invader you have a lot of advantages, even in Classic mode, more so in Prime. When you dive in, don't rush, look around, find the opponent you need to hunt the most, usually one with most motes, or closest to bank (who could be sentry - remember, they can tag you for their team) and go for them. If you're nervous, try to lock the bank for majority of time by avoiding opposition, then use your wallhack to determine most "desirable" victim and concentrate on 1 player per invasion. You'll grind your triumph "one at a time" if that's your goal. However, since you believe in karma - play the objective, so if you see other red suit player, and you don't feel comfortable, let them to do the job. Or use chat, if it is available (it works on PC, not sure it works on consoles) to determine who is going in. You can even rotate - played in team with 2 invaders who were bunny hopping and chatting on who could be main invader next round (got lucky to play with them twice). I always follow old WH40K attitude - purpose of the game is not only to have fun, but to let other people have fun as well. Don't be selfish, play the objective - not the triumph, help your team: kill mobs, try not to pick motes unless they are flashing and no one is around, protect the runner (even shielding them with your guardian if need arises), revive your team-mates if situation allows, clear the blockers, hunt the invader, especially if you empty and bank has no blockers to deal with first. Remember, without doing something, you'll never learn how to. So don't worry, we all were neophytes and most players understand that. Good luck and have fun. :)

2 RespuestasPlease don’t even let that get to you. If people want a great invader, they’ll go to lfg and put a team together. Has absolutely nothing to do with you. Pick up heavy and go back in there every single time the portal opens. (Just make sure you’re at least killing enemies so your team can deposit enough motes) Maybe try a machine gun when you invade. You don’t need to kill the whole team, 1 or 2 still sets them back. If you die before you get a kill, don’t get discouraged. Report any messages you get, don’t respond, and block them. Then get back to the game, Guardian ❤️

Keep going buddy and if you don't kill by invading try next time and next time after next time... And if someone message you because you are bad and you try to learn don't take it to personal most of the ppl just toxic... If they wanna win every time they should search for a fireteam and speak with each other without playing this game through matchmaking.... #MyOpinion #KeepGoinItsJustAGameAndHaveFunPlayinIt have a good day :)
-
people take that shit way too seriously. gambit is trash, and prime fixed nothing.
-
Report it through Sony/MS. He wont be sending messages to anybody within a day.

I'm not all that great as an invader either, but I did manage to get myself Malfeasance, so it is possible to do it. some advice, I can give... 1. Learn your loadout. If you're running with a hand cannon, a shottie, and a rocket, get damn good with it. Crucible is a good place for you to learn a load out for invasions, since you'll be basically 1 v 4 (kinda like in D2Y1, lmao). 2. Learn the map. Kinda seems difficult, but with gambit private matches available, you can learn the spawn points and go from there. 3. Super and Heavy. Kind of an obvious tip here, but going in with full super and heavy is almost a MUST if invading. Supers increase your resilience a bit and masterworked armor helps out even more with that. Depending on your loadout, full special ammo may be something to keep in mind as well, simply because a good sniper or Jotun (if you have it) can net you kills fairly quick as well. 4. Breathe. Can't even begin to count the number of times I held my breath, waiting on my rounds to connect, only to get killed and tbagged… 5, and probably the most important (and some damn GREAT advice from both Shaxx and Osiris) Every battle is a learning experience. Adapt where necessary, so if something didn't work on the first invasion, don't try it over and over again expecting a different result. I apologize in advance if it sounds like I'm coming off as talking down or being condescending, that legitimately isn't what I'm trying to do...
-
Don't get your panties in a bunch. Laugh it off that he cares so much that he has to "trash" talk a random player. If you let something so juvenile get under your skin, then the terrorists win.
-
Just ignore them they’re just trying to get you tilted. If they’re complaining about you invading maybe they should go instead.
-
Don't let it discourage you. You can't get better if you don't try.
-
There is some very good scout rifles in the game that can support your aim (night watch is pretty good from my experience), but also it's positioning in invasion being on the high ground is good but don't be in the same position once they see you. Also take advantage of portals on certain maps. Some good invasions also don't need to get any kills, being there can also make the other team unfocus. So practice and you can be invade with ease.
-
6 RespuestasWhy not just accept that you’re trash asf and not get offended when someone calls you out in a video game 🤣
-
I use to be horrible at invading, and my friends kept forcing me to invade, and I have become decent. Just use the op weapons people have suggested. Also don't feel bad using them the other team is.
-
Outbreak perfected, Ikelos shottie, shutdown super. Not too hard. Just practice.
