Yeah, you do get toxic messages from the pve community. Often times more often than PVP! People take raids, nightfalls, endgame missions and all other endgame pve very seriously and if you’re not performing at their arbitrary standard, hate mail ensues. Really though, I should just tell you to “git gud,” because .2 kd is abysmal. However I’d rather enlighten you to the fact that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side simply because you have met experienced the other side. Please don’t let disgruntled 12 year olds scare you off from pvp. If you make it a priority to practice even a match a day, you may end up enjoying pvp. It’s not all bad.

 • I've not experienced anything unpleasant in PVE and now someone has shown me how to block messages not from friends in a reply I will continue to practice my PvP and even though it's taken me a long time to go from abysmal to fairly bad I can only improve. Maybe one day I might 'git gud' and if I do i certainly won't be rude or offensive to anyone learning how to play. I'm glad I sounded out my frustration today as not only have I got advice on how to block unwarranted messages but it's been fairly insightful to see the range of replys from polite constructive ones like yours to being accused of being an attention seeking teenager myself . I do feel a little embarrassed that today I let it get to me enough to both react to the message and have a public rant about it but the replys have been interesting and sometimes quite surprising.

 • Sometimes it can just become too much. People can be so nasty in multiplayer games. I’m not sure why they take themselves and the game so seriously but it’s understandable that it built up. It happens to the best of us. Keep grinding and I hope to catch you in a match someday!

 • When I see people doing really bad in pvp I feel bad for them because I was there at one point. In destiny 1 I was really good . I was able to carry people flawless a few times. In destiny2 I am just average . I don't feel the same synergy that destiny 1 had . Destiny 1 focused on counters while destiny 2 focused heavily on team play . I'm a solo player, so I got used to playing alone and in destiny1 I shined because it wasn't relying on team play . So yeah if you wanna be good find a consistent group to play with and you will do well eventually.. good luck my friend. If you play on xbox add me :iDr Richtofen
