They're pinnacle weapons for a reason. Every game with loot has certain loot that not everyone is going to get and thats fine.

Yes, because a Looter/Shooter locks loot behind barriers. Oh, wait, they DON'T.
-
This one does. Come to think of it, yeah most do. Borderlands had legendaries that would only drop from certain bosses on certain new game plus difficulties.
-
Yeap, they dropped randomly from bosses, not locked behind a four player raid, or several steps on a quest that requires a game mode that isn't what the game is based on. ALL Loot in a Looter game is dropped on an RNG basis no skill ever required.
-
Destiny isn't just a looter shooter so this is already invalid. The game is its own unique mix of multiple genres. Skill based requirements for certain items highlights the RPG side of Destiny that you can't deny exists and is a core part of the game.
-
It either IS a Looter/Shooter or it's not. Pick one. Destiny claims that it is.
-
Since when can games no longer be multiple genres or have strong influences from others? Already a dumb response that's forcing the game to be something that would result in some of the game's best and most unique aspects changing or going away. Think before responding next time

When the genres conflict with each other or are complete opposites. The Looter/Shooter reward system REQUIRES that ALL loot is easily obtainable, with as few steps as possible. Let's use Borderlands: Any player can solo any of the 'bosses' for a chance at the loot. They are not required to team up or fight each other to get any gun, grenade or class item. MMOs lock items behind activity walls. So either Destiny is a terrible looter/shooter, and thus needs to redo its entire loot system, or is it an MMO that needs to rebrand itself and correct ANYONE who keeps thinking it's like Borderlands or Diablo 3 (which is another Looter, although not Shooter.)
