The feedback is never unanimous and may well be outright stupid and puny, such as the enhancement core ‘discussion’ which is basically people jumping on a dumb bandwagon about an economy which isn’t even a statistical problem - there have been calculations which show you can earn a sufficient amount per day. Because of statistical evidence, there is no need to cater to the audience who are unwilling to do the activities to earn the materials. This forum is a minority. Just because 700 people upvote something doesn’t mean the several hundred thousand population also agree.

It is possible that Activision saw the writing on the wall and decided to bail. After all - according to Bungie, new content is "hard". Also apparently it is hard to listen to your fan-base and make much requested improvements to the game economy/QOL. Instead, Bungie is directing their own list of "priorities" for developers. It doesn't seem to me like much work is being done on D2. Examples: the slow responses to making sandbox changes, no new Crucible maps for months, ignoring community pleas for QOL updates, no new strikes, etc. The next season is only a couple months away and we know next to nothing about it. It seems that D2 is low man on Bungie's priority totem pole. Prove me wrong.

People expected things to get better with the split because people can’t accept that Activision is actually the one who left Bungie and it clearly seemed to be the right move so far.
