Bungie, I would like to give you a few ideas/suggestions on how to improve loot drops in Destiny 2.
First off, I’d like to tell you that I believe the crucible post-game token drops are broken. It seems you get 1 token per loss and about 2 per win, while you get about 7-9 vanguard tokens upon completing a strike. Can you look into this? It is not rewarding grinding crucible right now because of the lack of token drops.
A few other points I wanted to make:
I feel that world drops such as the Subtle Calamity, Cut and Run, Misfit etc. should be removed from post match/activity rewards. Why does it make sense to recieve a Cut and Run after a Gambit match rather than actual Gambit gear? In my opinion, the only sources that should drop these “world” weapons and armor are engrams and the gunsmith.
I know you are increasing the drop chances of the new Gambit Prime weapons. This is an awesome fix. Thank you again. Could you also make it so regular Gambit weapons and armor have a chance to drop after regular Gambit matches? I beleive you can only get these from milestones and bounties, but it would be nice to have them drop after the completion of a Gambit match as well. Win or lose.
One more thing: I think the game and community could really benefit from the system you implemented in Destiny 1 where whenever you leveled a faction, you could choose between a weapon package or an armor package. The current system is just to reliant on RNG because of the huge loot pools of some of the
vendors. It’s almost impossible to get what you want, let alone the roll you’re looking for. I think this would be something everyone would enjoy and it would still keep that element of RNG we all love while also giving us the option to grind for a specific weapon or piece of armor.
If you see this, take all of these into consideration. I’m sure people would appreciate it. Thank you and keep making this game great.

1 RespuestaEditado por Lahgtah: 4/10/2019 4:42:32 PMIf there was a way to actually grind for exotics rather than hoping they drop from whatever it is you're doing, I'd be pleased. Keep the random drop chance in, but add simple, no BS, no RNG way of unlocking exotics as well. Say for Doom Fang Pauldrons, you have to get a whole bunch of kills with shield throw during sentinel shield, and then they'll drop. That's what I mean by no BS: something that will be done eventually, and can be worked towards just by playing the game regularly pertaining to that exotic. As someone who loves swords, I was hyped for the Stronghold gauntlets: finally something to make swords useful! Played Destiny 2 like the dirty NEET I am for 2-3 weeks or something, and you know what exotic I got to drop? Not Stronghold. Closed the game, haven't launched it since. Why bother chasing the the white rabbit down the hole when all you find is a snake in its den? If it's gonna be anywhere from a matter of weeks to a matter of months before I see what I want out of the game, then why bother playing it at all in the first place? Especially unfair when some people get those spicy exotics day 1, while you can be banging your head against the wall for lord-knows how long before you get them.

3 RespuestasLoot? I play for the love of the game, my loot chasing days are a vague memory. I wish we could cross infuse again...I don’t want to level up two more avatars. It’s just so boring ...”ain’t nobody got time for that!”

Good suggestions. Though it is about time for Bungie to retire the day one vendor rewards and regular world drops. Either that or give us milestones for amassing multiple copies of each. It isn’t just Edge Transit anymore that has overstayed its welcome.

Don't feel bad. It's just as lousy over in Anthem, and we get the same answers from the community mods.

2 RespuestasWhat Loot? Purchased annual pass back in December, quit playing before trying forges. Mostly because of the restricted loot drops after forsaken dropped. It became way too Grindy and at the end of activities, good luck getting good loot, especially exotics. My entire clan of 70 quit for the same reasons. The clan disbanded, some of those guys were die hard destiny fans, wouldn’t say anything negative about the game. I recently started playing again since I paid for the annual pass, been playing several hours a day for 3 weeks. Forges, gambit prime, crucible, strikes and everything in between. Not a single, exotic or catalyst has dropped for me. To make things worse, all my iron Banner gear dropped from bounties was at my actual power level, nothing dropped over my power level, a few pieces dropped under, it was total waste of time. For loot shooter they really made it a terrible game. All grind and no reward. I think I’ve giving Bungie their last chance.

I'd argue, but it sounds reasonable .So I might be wrong.

1 RespuestaGreat QOL input, all of this would help further bring D2 back inline with how most of us felt towards the end of D1. And to me, these seem like fair and easy fixes... granted I'm not a programmer. Well thought out, thank you for this!

You need loot for a loot cave dude

Great ideas. Would love all this.
you could choose between a weapon package or an armor package.
I don't think Bungie will bring this back because it seems they have purposely throttled leveling your second and third characters by dropping way more weapons than armor when you equip them with max level weapons. It's no coincidence that getting weapons to drop when under max level happens way less than trying to get armor to drop when having max weapons equipped.
