You remove crucible you can’t call it Destiny anymore IMO. It would be a spin-off not a sequel. Besides remember the excitement of trials in D1?

179 RespuestasRegarding Crucible, noted on the Bungie Bounty stream from DeeJ: "There are members of the development team who come in to Bungie every day to work on Destiny, and they're hard at work, upstairs right now on future evolution for the Crucible."

I have dreaded Trials since it started, so no, I do not remember any excitement. With Crucible the way it is, I wouldn’t miss it in D3.

8 RespuestasEditado por UltraRage101: 4/4/2019 1:15:10 AMPvp is not the blood of Destiny its the story, and without a story I would not be playing destiny at all or now, then if Destiny had no story it would be a battle royale, which I absolutely hate. I would completely leave if Destiny was a battle royale.

3 RespuestasPvP is part of Bungie's DNA and if they ever give up on it I will be very, very sad. IMO they do it better than anybody. Name one game that feels as much like a videogame at the same time that it rewards strategy. It feels like a videogame. That's one of the most important things that Destiny's competitors just don't do as well as Bungie does. Period. We can talk all day and night about the decisions but the core mechanics of Bungie PvP continue to be second to none. I challenge anyone to name one game with better tools and mechanics as far as what's possible for PvP.
-
Remove PvP and have it separate from the #strpy and PvE element. That's the only way forward at this point.
-
EXACTLY... Crucible is definitely apart of Destiny. You cant leave it out of future titles.
-
Crucible is the mutated DNA that ruins everything it touches.
-
Is this a joke? Crucible is the weakest link in Destiny. The issues are.. 1. Stacked teams being matched up with randoms. So the match-making in general really. 2.Supers destroy the pacing of a good match. 3. Overpowered weapons. Ie HMG for example. Take zero skill. 4. Certain overpowered abilities. Ie titans one shot kills via melee. Again takes zero skill and just makes the crucible look like a laughing joke. The Crucible is definitely weak. I can understand why Destiny is not regarded as a good competitive game. It has potential to be good but it needs a lot of balancing. because it's not just one or two things which make the Crucible a farce but at least a dozen different reasons for why PvP in Destiny is mediocre.

Destiny has the worst competitive matchmaking sistem I ever played. It´s a cancer for the players...
-
My personal friends quit playing D2 for one reason, and one reason only. The removal of trials. There definitely is a significant population of this game who look forward to Trials returning. I’m glad to hear Bungie is working on the evolution of the crucible. Would love to see the return of Trials..., and also Factions!

Yeh like the shit bit of dna that causes autism.
-
And the game suffers for it.
-
13 RespuestasPvP has been a cancer on this franchise since it launched. It's the most toxic and elitist part of the community too.
-
It would be better off without it.
-
Well I personally really don't like Crucible that much, I would be perfectly happy if A) they fixed balancing so that PvP and PvE are separate (so that a buff/nerf in one doesn't affect the other) B) figured out Crucible balance to the point where they could run objective-based playlists (CTF, especially) I'd be okay with a PvE-only Destiny, but I agree that part of Destiny's DNA is PvP. Hell, part of the fun of getting the best guns is seeing how they react against both AI AND humans.
-
4 RespuestasThe PvE community here is incredibly toxic. Never, in any game, have I seen fellow players wish for a core part of Destiny's experience for many players completely removed. You don't hear strictly PvP players saying PvE should be gone, do you? Respect what others like to play, regardless of your position in the game.

11 Respuestas
You remove crucible you can’t call it Destiny anymore
Yes you can.
It would be a spin-off not a sequel.
If it moves the main story of the Destiny Universe forward, it would be a "main series" game, not a spin off.
Besides remember the excitement of trials in D1?
You could have trials/iron banner without having a crucible game mode that's so closely tied to the pve part of the game. In fact, there's your spin off game. Make crucible/trials/iron banana it's own free to play spin off, freeing up the main game to really shine without having to worry about balancing weapons/abilities for pvp.

89 RespuestasCrucible is, by an enormous margin, the worst part of destiny, and unquestionably what is most holding destiny back.
-
It's easy. Crucible needs to be locked to crucible weapons only. Crucible weapons are all white weapons with very fine tuned stats. Crucible weapons are the only thing affected by nerfs and buffs in relation to the crucible. All supers and abilities are separately balanced with a completely different stat sheet when in the crucible. (C'mon, the Destiny 'skill trees' ARE NOT that big, it's doable. If that's not doable then Bungie might as well delete crucible right then and there.) BAM, a balanced a 'skill based' crucible that almost no one will enjoy but almost everyone and their mother has continually asked and demanded for. -- That way they can get out of PvE. I want ridiculous exotics. I want multiple equipable exotics. I want perks that force and abilities that change the flow of the game when activated. Not 'regen this, regen that, regen regen regen, hur dur recharge shields and auto reload with a side of regen' We get it, they like reload perks, they like regen perks. When will I be able to summon AI minions? When will I be able to self-res again? When will I be able to choose from fully customizable, mix matching skill trees? When will I be able to actually and tangibly upgrade weapons with more than two measly perks? What I would kill to have a PvE game mode that let me equip multiple exotics... My void walker would be glorious. Class: Lance Nova Bomb, Scatter Grenade (D1 version), life stealing melee (D1 version) Weapons: Bad Juju, Telesto (D2 version), Void Thunderlord (don't remember name) Armor: Skull of Dire Ahamkara (D2 version), Nothing Manacles, Chromatic Fire, Luna Boots That would be fun. Actually fun.
-
The fact that so many people have posted in opposition of you kind of disproves your point.
-
It would be a must buy if there were no pvp
-
1 RespuestaLol are you kidding me ..... maybe Dominus of the read Legion was correct “ weak - pathetic ...... carrying behind walls your not strong your not brave you have forgotten the fear of death let me reacquaint you with it “ . Pvp is what is holding back destiny .... it not apart of it ..... it is nothing more than a parasite sucking the life out of this game

Editado por Wheelaa1: 4/4/2019 2:22:19 PMTo all those saying D2 is all about PvP https://warmind.io/activity 18% of guardians currently playing D2 are playing crucible. Meaning 82% are not...! Sure, more than 18% of daily players dabble in Crucible, but the disparity between the numbers that play it each day and the % of players on it at any one time indicate that most people who dabble in Crucible hardly touch it. A milestone, a quest step, maybe a bounty. It won't be removed, it is part of Bungie's DNA. But Destiny's DNA, I don't think so. To add, if D3 comes out, I need to hear solid 100% guarantees/promises from Bungie that PvE and PvP weapon balance and tuning, abilities, supers etc are dealt with entirely separately. PvE has suffered enough with PvP nerfs, indeed launch D2 was a PvE mess due to PvP 'balance'. If those guarantees/promises are not made, no D3 for me.

crucible was an add on at the end stages of the games dev, destiny would be fine without it. probably better imo
