As you all know Thorn hasn’t exactly been living up to the desired expectations the renowned weapon perhaps should have been meeting. Whilst the weapon is snappy, incredibly fun to use and obviously stunning to look at, it is so very underwhelming in crucible and i think it has to do with the nature of its main perk. It simply suffers because the buff requires too many ridiculous things to achieve to apply it.
If it were perhaps triggered like rampage the weapon would be MUCH more viable. The remnants require you to be within close proximity of them for them to start (slowly) tracking you. This poses multiple problems, the main one being to get the buff you need to run to where the enemies were, to expose yourself. If it were the case that the remnants tracked you regardless of spacing then this wouldn’t be a problem, and the weapon would be much more viable.
Personally i enjoy sucking up the souls of my fallen enemies but as of current it just isnt working well. I suggest removing the required distance to pick up the buff and make them track you from the kill regardless of distance with the speed of the tracking increasing the more distance covered or, make the buff activate like rampage. I personally like the delay, it adds ‘spice’ and a kind of evilness to the weapon that makes it unique.
I think a nice addition to also improve PvP viability would be to remove the 10 second cap, allowing the damage increase to stack as much as the player is willing to kill

The timer is the problem, maps take awhile to get across often I don't even see another guy before the perk is gone
