Do you usually buy mass produced groceries or locally produced groceries? If you could, would you buy locally produced ones more often? Why?

Depends on what im buying. For example I’ll usually buy Strawberries and Blueberries from local farmers because I’d prefer it fresh and i’ve found they have a better taste then imported berries. Not sure of something that I buy thats mass produced but Im pretty sure I buy more mass produced imported foods. Generally though ill try to find something easy on the wallet and if its local then its a bonus!

If all my local stores did not end up closing then I would advocate for them more
just lost my favorite local bread store that I used to go to as a kid, surreal to see a memory like that just gone
Depends on the price

Local if possible. Normally can get veggies local but not everything else

If the locals could compete with some of the prices I'd by more.

Local if I can, but usually mass produced

We buy most of our stuff from the stores but mainly Aldi, Lidl, Trader Joe’s, and Earth Fare. Publix and Harris Teeter for sales mostly. Walmart , Target, and Bi-Lo when we need something really quick because they are the closest to us. Food Lion only when absolutely necessary. There is an Organic family farm fairly close so we go to pick strawberries and a few other things when they are in season but it’s more for the experience for the kids.

Owning a farm means that I grow a lot of my own food. Also I used to work in an abattoir, so butchering livestock is no problem for me. Though what I don't produce, everything else is purchased locally. Due to the fact that I pretty much live in the middle of nowhere. (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑

I buy cheap stuff because wallet > health

I would rather buy locally, but they moved our farmers market to someplace that is shrouded in mystery......

Mass produced. I don’t even know where I’d go for local.
-
I usually buy mass produced because it allows a greater variety as not everything can be grown locally.
-
Thankfully I don’t have to make that decision yet. Normally my mother leans toward more environment friendly/generally healthy foods.

Mass more... convenience and price. Every now and then local produce, like tomatoes or melons.
