Hey Bungie,
You took some ninja action in a thread earlier today, essentially protecting a proven cheater. In short, they abused the orbit drop exploit to manufacture a 49-game win streak (where they had no opponents for 49 straight games--OBVIOUS CHEATING).
So is cheating allowed then? Should we all just stop trying to play competitive honestly and just use the same exploit this PROTECTED cheater used to give ourselves Not Forgotten?
This person who I am not naming still has their account, and not only have they not been banned, you're even protecting them from being exposed in the forums.
One can only conclude cheating is allowed. So either come out and say, "Hey guys, go ahead and cheat to get your pinnacle weapons," or ban these cheaters and reaffirm the notion most of us have that cheating is not allowed.
Thanks.

If those reports and the investigation bear fruit, the cheaters will be dealt with. Research of this type goes above and beyond checking a third party website. In order to ensure fair judgement, assumptions cannot be made. But things like making a vid, creating a topic, and/or naming them here on the forums serves no purpose and has no benefit. On the contrary, it can potentially expose you to harassment from the public as well as incorrectly shaming an innocent person whom was only suffering from an inconsistent internet connection, rather than intentionally exploiting the game. Keep in mind that Forum Moderators do not work for Bungie and have no jurisdiction In Game. If you have used the in-game report tool, then you've done your part. And thank you for doing so. For those who who want to take the extra step, or were kicked from the game (and are unable to access the reporting tool), Bungie has created a Cheating Submission Form that allows players to find the PGCR (Post Game Carnage Report) from their personal history, fill out an official report, describe the cheating, and even link a vid (if they have one). Please feel free and encouraged to use this tool, but pay close attention to the warnings on the form. * If you are not confident that a player was cheating, do not use this form. * Abuse of this contact form may result in account restrictions. * Fraudulent reports and submissions unrelated to cheating may result in disciplinary actions against your account. We understand that this take additional effort on your behalf, but the more evidence you can provide to support your claim, the sooner it can be resolved. I Wouldn't be surprised it was a great game til money got to be more important

1 Respuestathe best way to expose the cheat is to provide details of how everyone can do it, then it becomes an epidemic that must be dealt with and bungie fixes it, and we all profit if we choose to use the exploit. SOOO balls in your court. explain how we all can load into matches with zero players. I am listenining.

6 RespuestasCheating is not allowed. Neither is naming and shaming on these forums. If you have reported them in game then, if what you say is correct, they should be banned. However, just posting a clip and/or saying their name and what they did is all you decided to do, then the post obviously violated the CoC and was met with an appropriate amount of ninja justice

31 RespuestasCheating is not allowed, nor is breaking code of conduct by sharing names of players with accusations (naming and shaming) as it can be seen as harassment. Someone breaking one rule does not allow others to break other rules. Report suspected cheating and abuse and move on.

2 RespuestasThere are rules. Follow them or you're no better than the cheater.

Cheaters are losers. Hope their console/Pc explode while cheating

5 RespuestasForum mods =/= Game masters. The mods enforce the forum rules, the GMs enforce the in-game rules. Don't confuse the two.
-
Cheating is encouraged by destiny, hiding pinnacle rewards behind requirements some people will never achieve, gives them only one choice if they want those rewards.
-
Considering they are the only people keeping the comp playlist alive of course it is unless you do it to a streamer then its an instant ban
-
1 RespuestaIs it allowed, no, is anything done about cheating, no.
-
Isn't cheating by definition not something allowed?
-
2 RespuestasYou should make a forum post with those cheaters names Make sure you put the names of those cheaters in the title of the post in big bold letters. Then hopefully yo...they'll get banned Trust me I've got a friend who works at bungie

1 RespuestaOf course it isn’t. And neither is witch hunting.
-
1 RespuestaPosts involving direct names of individuals or has their gamer tag present get taken down or edited to prevent witch hunts. To my knowledge bungie does take action on the players mentioned but usually don’t say they do, witch hunting someone who is suspected and is actually innocent is far worse then witch hunting an actual cheater.
