Getting Suspensions from Lagging Out

Why is it that when in a comp game I’m in, I find myself destroying the opposing team, then when I lag out, I get a suspension. All because the game said “You left! Got you!” I think you need to reprise your system awareness to recognize if the person actually IS leaving for unnecessary/unsportsmanlike reasons. Say if one side is doing way better, or at least a reasonable lead, then the suspension isn’t even a thing, or at least isn’t as punishing and may give a warning for once rather than an immediate “Oh hey you left, you’re suspended now”. Just saying that this isn’t the most fair in my opinion.

The context of the match doesn't change what you're doing to other players. It doesn't somehow improve the situation for your teammates who are left still fighting at a disadvantage. It's not fair to them that you keep leaving matches and haven't tried to prevent it from still happening. Suspensions are given to players who leave matches prematurely, regardless of reason or cause. If you keep "lagging out", then you should fix your internet connection so you don't, to avoid being suspended more or get restricted from the activity, which is far longer than a suspension.
