It seems to me like both of these need some kind of rework, mostly for two reasons: First, I never see these things used besides mayde as niche pvp builds or maybe once out in the open world, but besides those instances I rarely see them used. In pvp, no one seems to use Current or Missile due to the extra step the melee requires that is more likely to get them killed then kill an enemy.
Second reason, at least in my opinion, is that the supers themselves feel a bit lackluster. Way of the current seems useful, but every hunter I know just chooses instant dps with solar or kill/ assist potential with void. For Titans missile it's a bit more obvious I find, as why would you missile a group of enemies you could easily Havoc alongside 3 more groups, and the damage it does to bosses is laughable, unless I'm just using it wrong or something, which is possible, but a direct hit should feel like a superman charge, not a splat.
Again, could be way off on this, and both of these could be used, just never see them. Thoughts?
Edit: Damn, seems to actually be some good discussion going on here! For those of you who use these abilities effectively, I say you guys deserve a light buff.
For Titans, I see a general consensus that the actual super is the only real problem with Missile. Couldn't agree more on that.
For the few Hunters that spoke up, the deflect should definitely work at all times, considering that's what it should do.
As for the Warlorks, I can understand some of the complaints. I do feel like in terms of big damage supers you seem to be ok. But if you got any other underused abilities don't be afraid to share.
Final note, when I make mention of these I'm mostly talking from a pve perspective, as I feel in pve every super should feel like death incarnate on our enemies. Pvp is a whole different beast to tackle, and I honestly feel like the two should have entirely separate balancing.

1 RespuestaEditado por Rec: 3/20/2019 7:30:09 PMI want an exotic for the thundercrash super. Imagine it allowing you to go FARTHER and FASTER and DIRECT IMPACTS do TRIPLE DAMAGE. Now that would be badass, and provide a high damage, one n done super for the Titans; just like the hunters have for celestial Plus with the direct impact effect adds a level of skill with the death from above and thundercrash That or just an overall damage buff to the super

I use it all the time in PVP. I have 5 melee mods and synthocepes... It's great fun. You'll be surprised how many double and even triple downs you can get with the melee. I also die a lot too...but I don't care. I'm having fun.

I main way of the current, tempest strike (the melee) is the thing what I love most about it, but sometimes it’s buggy, the super is okay, whirlwind eats the super energy like a mcdonalds burger and sometimes projectiles just go through it (assuming it’s a bug or just latency) and it’s hard to aim with it

Editado por funky kong: 3/20/2019 3:20:40 PMMissile is in a good place I can’t speak for the way of the current tree The only change I would do for missile is give it more pve damage especially against bosses cause it doesn’t do as much as it feels it should, (the super charged attack, not ballistic slam)
-
I only run missile because it's fun I am sad that they nerfed striker because that was really fun
-
Use insurmountable skullfort with missile in gambit. Absolutely mows through enemies. Missile super also annihilates in strikes. It’s not useful in pvp except as a super shutdown, so use it like it’s supposed to be used. In pve : P

12 RespuestasI just want titans to have something in PvE that's on par with well and tether. That shield really isn't cutting it and bubble gets in the way more often that it's useful.

2 RespuestasEditado por $hirtless Captain Kirk: 3/19/2019 1:49:41 PMYou're nuts. Code of the missile is amazing, you're doing it wrong or something. Great for PVE and PvP. You just gotta main it a little while. Very different. Only issue I have is damage on the super. Everything else is amazing.
-
2 RespuestasAgreed. Titans need a buff and missile needs a serious buff.
-
3 RespuestasThundercrash is garbage compared to other one time supers and doesn’t do nearly as much damage as them. It also needs a range and damage buff.
-
Staff Strike is my favorite. I use the Frosties on Huntee with melee mods and I get my melee back in about 10-15 seconds. Also if you have gauntlets/helmet with Grenade Transfer that helps. As well as the dodge that grants melee energy when near enemies. I use a slug shotgun as well with Staff Strike. Body shot slide, and upper cut at the same time. There is a learning curve, but it is bad ass!

7 RespuestasThundercrash needs a damage buff and to not start going down halfway through the super meter. And Inertia Override needs to be replaced. It doesn't fit and is honestly a shitty perk.

1 RespuestaNo one wanna comment on warlocks? Useless dawnblade tree? Terrible stormcaller for anything but clearing trash mobs? No?

Hey chicka bum bum.

4 RespuestasAs fun as Thundercrash is, nothing beats the D1 Fist of Havoc. Near instantaneous. Noteable hyper armor. Large radius with the option to extend it. Shuts down ANY super with a single slam. The one-time-use was well justified with the power it had.

1 RespuestaEditado por Soul_Eater_42: 3/18/2019 4:18:03 PMThey need to change or buff some of their perks. Way of the Current should allow you to throw the Arc Staff after blocking with Whirlwind Guard. While Ebb and Flow is active, Lightning Weave should grant you increased melee speed and range, and melee-ing electrified enemies should charge your fist with Arc Lighting that chains to nearby enemies on the next melee hit. This would make the perks combo better. As it is, right now, there's not much synergy in that Attunement. For Code of the Missile, Thundercrash needs a huge damage buff for PvE, and needs to function the way they promised it would, prior to the release of Forsaken, where you could continue flying around until you hit the wall/ground, or a high-ranked enemy (boss, major, or mini-boss), and if you could control it, you could fly through enemies, and damage them without stopping. Inertia Override should allow you to aim and shoot weapons while sprinting, or recharge Ballistic Slam by sprinting after a kill.
-
More damage the farther you fly (on top of base damage as is) would save it IMO.

8 RespuestasCode of the missile is one of the best classes for many activities WHEN USED PROPERLY. It’s also way harder to play than the other Titan arc classes
-
Editado por DuBChiri2: 3/18/2019 11:56:50 PMI can't speak for the hunters, but thundercrash is garbage outside of PvP. I don't see any value of using thundercrash over any other titan super besides messing around. Increase its damage by 50%. Increase maximum flight velocity time by 2 seconds. Restore melee charge on super completion. Have sliding into ammo grant melee energy via inertia override. There.
-
Code of the missile is a really fun PVP build. I have five melee mods on my IB armor and use the Dunemarcher exotic boots to chaotic effect. The key with Ballistic Slam is not to charge headlong into people. You gain elevation and turn a corner before you punch down. If you hit two or three people it is pretty savage. Follow up with regular melee and profit. A lot of times I forget to use my super because I am having so much fun with Ballistic Slam.
-
2 RespuestasThere are 27 variations total for 3 different classes. Not every single one is going to be great in general, as well as in both PvE and PvP. Perfect world? Maybe. Realistically? Unreasonable expectation.

the titan struggle

2 RespuestasI mean I would mind a buff for tactical nuke but it is literally the only reason i play gambit. Because of that subclass and my build
-
Editado por BlaQinci7: 3/18/2019 10:08:39 PMI run way of the current, with lies handshake...I love it. Shuts down most supers even spec blades and sentinels, Besides if it’s to useful the nerf babies will start crying. Shisssss before you wake them.
-
1. Buff damage to bosses (to blade barrage/chaos reach without geomag level). 2. Add button to speed up the missile animation.
-
No nerfs, just buffs
