We don’t necessarily need to give the person attention in order to consider how we might want to address society to keep similar events from happening on the future.
Giving them what they want might be bad, but stopping the conversation on possible solutions isn’t any better.

Yeah, but it should be fairly obvious when we are talking about dealing with a [u]conversation[/u] that the "stop" would be referring to that.
