If popular streamers don't represent the community, who does?

Those that play a lot and have done for the whole franchise. Unfortunately they continue to make the game easier and easier and everyone really wants meaningful grind which has gone. Anthem did not work out, but 30 hours in to division 2 and I can safely say a lot of regulars will go wear the grind and loot is

Players. Streamers are a business. They're opinions of the game revolve around increased profits, not how enjoyable the game is.

And the same goes for the players. Its not a one way street.

We are quickly approaching the series death, everyone needs to be involved in the discussion. Some instances having a silent majority isn't good. Sometimes you need your majority to be vocal.

No-one needs to represent the community that isn't even aware of what the fans want. Cosmo and the moderators should be representing the community. Not streamers who literally spend ALL of their time playing Destiny.
