Oh, I agree with you.
Sadly it seems that Bungie couldn’t care less about our (or the normal players) opinion.

The people that make up Bungie are only human, but a second summit that copies the first is a very bad idea for the health of the game now that we’ve seen the effects of the first.

That's exactly what I thought too. But it's pure Bungie marketing at work. Basically, the Streamers get a free trip, some swag and are talked to by Bungie. Bungie "listens" to their feedback and they feel good because Bungie "listened" to them. Bungie shows them some thing they have already said they wanted. They feel better about things. They come back and give their "Honest Opinion" on their Stream that things will be better if we all just wait until Season X drops. Sound familiar?

I hadn’t looked at it that way, but that’s blowing a marketing Bungie when on”influencers” whose audience already plays the game.

Not repeat them. However they rebooted D1 a year and a half before release. Then rebooted D2 16 months before it was due to be released. It would appear that their capacity to learn from their mistakes is severely compromised.
