Whenever you can, look at the descriptions of the Drifter’s Bounties. Notice how most of them have to do with eating or hunger. Notice some of the dialogue, even, that he speaks about “eating a Hive Knight”. [i]*endows spinfoil hat*[/i] Now, what can we relate hunger to the most in the Destiny universe? The Hive. Think the Thorn. It always seemed to be hungry for more carnage in the old D1 quests, growing with power as more destruction is inflicted. Think of the Darkness, who has a tendency to “consume” everything in its path, growing stronger. Also think Calus. He saw IT at the edge of the universe. Remember Calus’s catchphrase? “Grow [b]fat[/b] from strength”? Long story short, the Drifter is letting the little voices in his head get to him. [i]He’s kind of going nuts guys, don’t you think it’s a bad idea to start helping him?[/i] ... Well, still going to help him anyways.
