That's a thing? How is that a thing? Are you saying like clash or survival or something? Why would it not take their pool of lives away? This IS crazy and definitely needs looked at.

    As stated, Survival and countdown are non issues for this as it does eat away at the lives, but a team with a 5 or 6 point lead on clash and control can jump off the map, and so long as nobody from the enemy hit them before they drop down and die it does not affect the score at all. Its commonly used to 1.) avoid supers (no orb generation), avoid split spawns (avoid 3v1 off spawn, etc) or to drag out the last minute of a close match in the most scumbag way possible (45-50, 50 seconds to go, jump off and you ate about 10 seconds of game time).

  • In clash or control if a team is winning they can suicide the entire game to deny the team any more points and win

Hardly could this be consider this a legitimate strategy. It's not conducive to any type of competitive environment. You are literally being rewarded for dying. And while you don't deserve a kill for popping a super, if you do everything right and the enemy can't stop you from collapsing on them, that false entirely on them. It's like arguing the Skorri camping in trials was a legitimate strategy. It was, but it's entirely anti-competitive in nature.
