Enough Said. Just cause we can’t No Life the Game to get to Max Power doesn’t mean we want everything handed to us. Casuals are willing to Grind Raids, Grind Nightfalls, Grind Exotic Quest Lines, Grind the Forges and all the other End Game Content. All we want is to Level Up to Max Power quickly so we can enjoy the End Game. Games like Anthem, Warframe, Borderlands, Disblo 3 etc. puts grind in it’s proper place which is in the End Game and not care how fast people level up. The Hardcore Players always argue, “well, if you get to Max Power quickly, people would stop playing after blowing thru the Content.” This is now true at all. People in Diablo 3 get from 1-70 in like a Day, and when they reached Max Level, THEY STILL PLAY THE GAME TO THIS DAY!!!! So clearly this makes their argument invalid. If the Grind for Destiny was like Diablo 3, Hell I’d play the game to this day cause I’d still be enjoying the End Game Content regardless of how long I play.
It’s time for the Hardcore Players to get off the Hate Train for Casuals and start supporting solutions that make us BOTH happy. SayNoToRage often purpose solutions that would make both Parties happy and Bungie needs to act on this.

2 RespuestasD2 year 1 was made based on the casuals that's why it was so bad. Casuals always demand nerfs to weapons, quests, masterwork cores etc. Go have a look on the forum. This game needs to becime more hardcore, more dedicated. Make veteran players feel respected and idolized fron the new players. When they make a change that casuals dont like they come here crying. Go play the game! They always change the game based on casuals but they leave after a while, but the die hard veteran will stay...

18 RespuestasEditado por Alphard: 3/11/2019 5:49:05 PMYou're absolutely right. If you hit max level and the game is FUN (like Diablo 3), you'll keep coming back to play. Also, the definition of "casual" is subjective. If you look at my profile, I look like a hardcore player. I have 3 650 characters, done all the raids (regular and prestige) and challenges (only need Petras run for Rivensbane), I solod the Throne, and overall I'm always on top of all the end game content. I go after all the end game guns and gear. I'm a Cursebreaker and almost a Chronicler too. I'm also a lore nut and have read and collected ALL the lore. (Even the lore that isn't released yet for this season). I do all the extra Triumphs and make sure my collections are complete. Only missing a couple of exotics here and there. Highscore every Nigtfall. The list goes on. So you'd think I'm a no lifer right? Wrong. I'm a mom and only play a few hours a night after my daughter is tucked into bed. :) My husband and I pretty much duo everything together. Hell, we've had to two man tier 4 Blind Well when the lobbies were broken and nobody was joining. We are very efficient with our time and get a lot accomplished. We do our research and make sure to collect every little thing we possibly can. So am I a casual because, I don't no-life the game? Am I a hardcore player because, I go after everything and accomplish all that I can? Or am I a hardcore casual? Point is, these labels are stupid. A gamer is a gamer and each person should be treated equally. I hate this whole, "casuals ruin the game" or "hardcore players ruin the game" crap. Its childish. I thought stereotypes were left behind in high school. The other day, I was accused of being a no lifer because of my profile. When I told them I was a mother that only gets on a few hours a night, they never replied...

Yeah no. Where did all the people go after 3 weeks of D2? Lost a lot of friends from the red war.

I like casuals.

32 RespuestasEditado por Talia Sendua: 3/11/2019 6:50:19 PMDude, we learned from the release year of D2 what happens when we support casuals. D2 vanilla, CoO and Warmind were all not on the same level of grind we expected from D1. Forsaken was the first expansion which has completely gone back to those levels (maybe even more into the grind then before). And as a sidenote, Warframe is much more boring and time consuming to grind then destiny. With crafting times for items and equipment you spend more time waiting than actual grinding.

3 RespuestasSo i saw a video of some streamer 2 manning tier 2 and i was downright disgusted. Of course, their light level was really high so why not? The average player can't even get a fvcking enhancement core to move away from 660. I'm really pissed because all bungie cares about is streamer feedback while ignoring the majority of players who actually pay for the game and have real $hit and responsibilities in life.

3 RespuestasDear Reader of this comment, Do you think that catering to casual players ruined D2Y1? Please read this article in full and think about what it says: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2018/12/13/yes-destiny-2-needs-to-cater-more-to-casuals-to-some-extent/amp/ Thank you, TattooedOni

2 RespuestasPeople on these forums don't understand what a casual player is. They actually think a casual player going to make the effort to change a game. They dont, as a casual if I dont like a game I just move on. Casual players don't have the same vested interest, there are pleanty of great games to play, why waste time on one I don't like They get blamed for stuff like the ability timers and high ttk. Guess what that was to try to make a destiny esport. Which doesn't apply to casuals, casuals know they won't make a league, and allowing a game down doesnt make it fun to watch. Now you can blame increase drop rates as a change for casuals, it will attract a bigger audience. Though it is funny how many people come to these forums complaining about playing thousands of hours and not getting drops. Also the Diablo 3 reference won't apply to D2. We don't have enough loot variance to farm. We need more mods and builds to make it worth farming.

By most destiny standards I’m a filthy casual. On the other hand, because I look after my cores etc, I’m often called a no-lifer. They are both pointless labels for the player in middle ground. A casual is really someone who barely knows what they’re doing, has basic weapons etc. A “no lifer” is a streamer or probably young guardian with no commitments other than shooting aliens or other guardians. In-between that is a huge middle ground of just “people playing their way” I’m somewhere around dead centre, so effectively both depending which side you’re looking at me from 🤷♂️

I don’t hate casuals. In fact, they’re the reason why I like this community because they remind me that games are fun and that this is a game that we play FOR FUN. You don’t need a community to make you believe that there’s only one way to enjoy the game because we play this game FOR ENJOYMENT AND MENTAL PLEASURE.

I'm not religious on the least but some things seem to prove themselves out over time. You reap what you sow... or and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make... Point being, crucible lakes its' own bed. Crucible need to look in a mirror.

Editado por Necrogen: 3/12/2019 5:15:45 PMfirst off you have flawed logic because if casuals wanted to be better they would actually heed the advice of all the people that speak to them respectfully and apply that. look at all the trends look at what everyone's mad at for the week look at how people speak to them respectfully and show them how it's not that big of a deal and look at how how the players lash out at them. if you want people to speak to one another respectfully then the casuals constantly complaining will need to actually shut up, think for a second, change the verbiage, make more intelligible arguments and open their minds a bit when receiving feedback. that right there is about 80% of the issue here is that there is no compromise from people who feel victimized. there is a plethora of people who say they want the game to be easier for them so they can get the same rewards for doing less this is in fact true. 17 to 18% of people actually did Leviathan raid do not tell me by this point when you're above 400 that the casuals are doing Leviathan raid right now because the numbers did not increase when they're light level far superseded the raid requirement. I have 96 people in my clan and 30% of them joined because they had no one to raid with. they said this because they don't have friends or they don't socialize or they don't feel like they need to work with anybody. you honestly cannot generalize the casual demographic with the same reasoning and try to be super optimistic that these people are actually willing to play and neither can I sit here and be pessimistic and say none of them want to play. I don't want to generalize this audience. Unfortunately though if 30% of my clan have answers like this I am sure there are other clans that have players that get on don't interact with anybody don't even talk to the clan leader and a complain that they don't know what to do. When given answers and great advice on how to be successful in the game, it somehow incites a lash out and brings about complaints that "we don't understand them"? this isn't trying to understand what it's like to be a Hispanic or Asian or an African American in America or in any other country where they may feel oppressed. this is a goddamn video game where your input determines what you're going to get out of it. this is what we are tired of. I come on here to help educate people. I play the game to enjoy it and the company of those I interact with and new people as well. We say to everyone who complains to shut up. That means stop talkin, calm down, take a step back, alter your verbiage, and have it intelligible argument on what you believe is broken in the game and why. People do not do this they rant and complain and do not provide Solutions for the sake of the discussion. What ends up happening is that they sound like triggered psychiatric patients. this is insane okay? This is a video game where are not discussing politics or the lack of clean water food and shelter. For the love of God stop trying to White knight people and take a look at what the bigger picture is. understand there is a reason why there is such ferocity at all the complainers.

So it's OK when casuals call people who get stuff they can't "sweaty no life neckbeard fanboy"?
-
3 RespuestasIf you play this game 20+ hours a week you are hardcore. That is a part-time job.
-
1 Respuestahttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqBN5NAdtvk watch this video. Hardcore is not a timeset , its a mindset. Away with the plebby casuals
-
Lol casuals don't grind raids, nightfalls, pinnacle weapons etc. Those are the actions of a real gamer. Casuals log on for 30min play a strike or 2 than bitch about how they don't have any exotics or God rolls and call the game crap.
-
10 RespuestasThe game should be catered to everyone. Not just the no-lifers that play this 24/7, solo everything, and pretend they're cool.
-
The Hatred for people by other people in the World is absolutely Disgusting.
-
I think the hatred is directed towards the hardcores tbh
-
Oh here we go... i don’t see myself as a casual because i play like at least 4 hours a day... still haven’t done a raid yet (oh no) but SOME people will always be dicks no matter what you do in games... Only funny thing about your post is the part that with other games it’s all better?? Dude with ALL games players act like this to casual players... i find it actualy not as bad in Destiny... 🤷🏻♂️
-
2 RespuestasMeh.... Don’t understand it either. Frankly a good designed game should be able to cater for both - casual and hardcore. Naturally the hardcore will receive more loot but casuals should still be able to feel like their time is respected too. And lets face it....Destiny really needs EVERYONE playing at the moment cause the player base (according to guardian.gg) don’t look so pretty. While we’re at it I’ve never understood the whole Hunter v Titan v Warlock rivalry either. Pretty sure the majority of players have one of each.

I’m sorry if us hard cores are rude at times we are in love with destiny and for many of us it’s a actual hobby we all went through so much emotion scaring dealing with a vanilla with no content and then getting hyped for the worst dlc in the games history now we finally have a system in the game which means you don’t get things for months and I’m sorry if you don’t like it we the core players who have played through the good and the bad love the game and are here to stay and if bungie stops giving us what we want we have to move on

8 RespuestasI think people take issue with the types that believe, "I payed the money and logged on, now I deserve the thing." But you don't deserve the thing because you haven't earned it. You're only paying and logging on for the opportunity to get the thing. The thing is not guaranteed. It's an old problem, one older than Destiny and it's unlikely to change.
-
Buying a 60$ does not entitle you to everything a game has to offer. Paying that money does not mean you should experience everything with ease. It should always come with a learning curve and those willing to invest time. That simple. As long as it's about a "Power Fantasy" it will always be a problem balancing the experience.
-
4 RespuestasWarframe doesn’t have a endgame try again, Riven don’t count and neither do arcanes.

1 RespuestaEditado por CUROCH: 3/12/2019 10:13:25 AMYou lost me when you said Anthem has an end game. It clearly does not. Their stronghold is shorter than a destiny strike.
