1 RespuestaWhen I was 18 I was driving home from my girlfriends house. It was maybe 4 pm and I was on the expressway. There had been roadwork on this 3 lane expressway for about 5 months and I was used to it. It was down to two lanes, the middle and the left lane about half a mile from where I was so I was in the middle lane. I had just been on this road an hour prior and both lanes were open. Now, for this brief stretch of this 3 lane highway there is a forth lane on the right for merging off another expressway and then that lane become an exit and in this lane there was Semi. A huge one with an oversized load and he merged over from his lane on the far right over in front of me. So I could no longer see in front of me. Now, ahead of me the middle lane was actually closed. There were no signs, i could not see and i was going about 60 mph. The semi in front of me merges into the far left lane and I have maybe 30 feet until I reach a perpendiciular cement barrier. So I panic because i have a couple seconds before I really mess myself up on that barrier so I have to try and get over so I move over a little and another semi in my blindspot smashes my side mirror off my car and got so close that its tires burned the hubcap of my tires. Tl;dr I almost got killed by 2 semi trucks because roadworkers didn't put up new signs that said they were going down to one lane before doing it.

1 RespuestaI looked in the mirror

Last month we had a blizzard here in Washington state. One dark evening when the snow was continuing to pile high, I decided to go for a walk. I don’t know why but the snow just looked very nice and powdery and was an absolute joy to walk around in. As I walked around the corner and out of my street I saw a dark figure dash from the corner of my eye. I turned around to face it. It was a big, dark, mean looking dog running around unleashed and unsupervised. As soon as I made eye contact it came sprinting towards me. I froze. Didn’t move a muscle. Just watched it rushing me. I don’t know how or why but I just knew that it was better to stay put rather than running away. So I stood there confident the dog wouldn’t do anything but scared shitless by the possibility that it would. All it did was run up to me, turned around, ran back, ran up to me again and pissed off. I got the feeling that it was trying to get me to run so it could give chase.

The injury isn’t the scary part, but how I took care of it afterwards. So, when I was seven, I cut my head open by standing up under a granite counter. Not fun. Head was bleeding, had to wrap a washed towel around my head, etc. It was bad. Well, at seven years old, I didn’t necessarily grasp the gravity of the situation until I took a shower to wash out what I was told was “all the blood all over you.” I didn’t see any on myself, but I figured I’d shower just to be safe. Wrong move. Basically, all I saw for 10 solid minutes was my own blood pouring down my face, down my torso, felt it down my back, etc. Yes, it even went down there. Little seven year old me didn’t understand that I hadn’t exactly cleaved my head in two, only scratched it enough to break the surface. I thought that I was washing off bone up there. With that thought and seeing all the blood, I was terrified. Now I understand it was an irrational fear, but that doesn’t change the fact that I still wouldn’t do it again if I had a choice.

To me personally, probably one of the times my mom tried to kill me as a child. Or one of the moments I thought she'd try again. Otherwise, while not the same kind of fear, the scariest moment was probably when I thought a friend was going to kill herself.

Editado por CAMMAX008: 3/6/2019 6:20:04 PMThe neighbour from across the road was on holiday and asked my brother to feed the dog. She managed to leave the key in the inside of the door, so my brother couldn't unlock it. Nobody could get in to feed the dog, and there was a dog flap in the door, but my brother was too big to fit through it, and my younger brother was too young to be able to unlock the door, so my parents made me crawl through, and I was already scared sh!tless by dogs, so I'm sh!tting myself- I was probably somewhere around 9/10 years old.
I would still sh!t myself now if I had to do it but still...
My parents told me I had to go and said they would buy a Pokémon tin for me if I did. I did it (crying) but I didn't see where the dog was in there though, so was really scared it would come running down the stairs or something. So that was pretty traumatic for me as strange as it seems, but when I ordered a Pokémon tin as a reward it was lost in the post and I got sent another one for free, then the previous one turned up and I got 2 tins, and a Giratina EX was in a packet in one, so it wasn't all bad.
it has been established many times that I am, indeed, a wimp.
7 RespuestasI looked in the mirror the other day and it finally sank in that I’m genuinely unsightly. Didn’t need to know that.

10 RespuestasI went to a feminist rally with my friend and we laughed while they get so into it. A bigger woman comes up to us and starts cursing us out and says we men are the reason for thier suffering. Now I normally wouldn't fear just this one girl, but the mob followed. We ran, but we were laughing all the way

There was a time that I woke up from a most restful slumber, marinating in an acidic substance inside a dark, soft, moist, abyssal cavern that reeked of decay. I feared that I had been contended and consumed unbeknownst to my permission, by a superior organism.

Well I was almost ran over once so that was pretty spooky but honestly sometimes my imagination just freaks the shit out of me, 2 specific examples come to mind, the first one being scarier. I usually don't have very realistic dreams, in the sense that i feel more like a blob witnessing GodKnowsWhat rather than a person. In fact I rarely even have dreams as a whole, not talking just about dreams i remember, I'm counting both dreams i remember and ones I don't, so long as they happened. Which really set me up to get f**ked up when I had a dream of myself laying in bed, but kept hearing some God forsaken noise, wanting to investigate (or rather shut it the hell up) I open my eyes, see some weird light by the right side of my bed, emerging from somewhere on the floor between my bed and my wardrobe but I can't see it from my angle, trying to get a better view I'm met with some bizzare screech-like noises which that thing was definitely producing, along with a flash of more light, the thing appeared as a blob of the same color as the light it's emitting. This took me far too offguard and woke me up, I didn't even think I was dreaming so you can imagine my situation. After some time I fell asleep again only to have a similar dream, I was in my bed yet again, but it didn't quite feel like my room, I recall some strange... grey pillar looking things in a circular formation, making noise (at least they weren't shining like before) however it sounded sort of like drifting and speeding cars combined with the sound fingernails make when they scratch a blackboard, weird description I know but I can't think of a better way to put it. Again I try to get up and see what I can do about getting my peace and quiet, but am again met with some incredibly annoying screech-like sound wakinh me up once more. I was done with things yelling when I go to sleep so I decided to wait til morning and do whatever the hell on my phone. Next event is just me doing stuff in my room late at night but suddenly hearing a voice utter a word or 2, it sounded sort of like my mother but I couldn't quite confirm what it was saying, I wasn't even dreaming or anything, but it definitely sounded like it came from somewhere around the balcony exit of my room. The tone of voice was very calm as well. Took me a bit to re-convince myself there's nothing out there and that it's just my mind playing tricks on me. Still in awe of how realistic it sounded. Anyway yeah all this crap took me way too off guard resulting in me going hyper awareness mode or well... waking up.

I was swimming in the sea when I was young and got pulled out, managed to grab hold of one of the pillars to a pier and hang on. My dad was able to swim out and get me tho, wasn’t a whole coast guard rescue luckily 😂 This must of been 20 years ago 😳 damn...

Well, one day back in middle school we were coming back from a field trip on a snowy day, and our bus soid on the road and hit an ambulance, we were stuck there for 2 hours. It was a little scary at the time.

Eh, nothing much honestly. Never been in an accident (yet), haven’t really had life threatening injuries. One thing that spooked me was a time I crashed a 4-Wheeler. I was riding with some friends, doing jumps on our 4-wheelers when I hit a jump crooked and smacked a tree branch. Somehow the tree branch hit me in such a way that I flew off the ATV and landed in front of the tires and proceeded to run my legs over. Didn’t feel too good, me knards weren’t very pleased with this stunt. I remember thinking as I crashed something along the lines of
Welp, this is how I break my legs and possibly die. RIP.
It wasn’t all that bad though.

Two options: -That time in mosi summer science camp where I fell behind from the group and thought I got locked out a museum at 5 in the morning -Last november where I failed to break in time and rear ended a car. We were on an overpass heading towards an interstate which had a large enough shoulder for our cars but even then I almost got hit by this truck that decided to take the lane next to the shoulder when i had to get back into the driver’s seat.

When I was a kid I swam really far from the beach and saw a shark. It was a basking shark, so it was harmless, but they are like the second biggest shark on earth so I was terrified.
