How to destiny 2

This is really for new guys.. Not for people with three characters at high levels.. Is also for people who want to try a new class but dont feel like grinding the levels again
during the course of your campaign on your first character, you will reach level 600 pretty quick. However, if you are getting to level 650, and soon to be 700, there will be a grind period.. TAKE ADVANTAGE of this. You will be at level 650 before you know it, and once you're there. You are ready take on raids, nightfall with 100k scores.(edit:you can do nightfall well before 600 light. However, since alot of guardians fly through the levels during the campaign, you might consider saving those guaranteed level ups for later on. As you'll be getting to 600 in no time anyways, no need to push too hard in a pve event that will be a cake walk tomorrow.) And much more, all jokes aside, you will have fun the first time around. The salt on the forums is because the grind is hard to enjoy more than once..and that feels dull compared to halo.. right? But follow me guardian...and you will avoid such meaningless endeavours, and the salt that comes after. You will have, I hope to God, found xur by now. (Edit: collections are a fine place to get weapons for your other characters. But currently you cannot buy across classes from collections, nor will you have unlocked them since you havent played them. Making xur the only option, as you cannot infuse armor for other classes either.) He sells am item each week for each class... And currently... No matter what class you are playing, you can buy any of the exotic armor...even across classes...from xur. His stock rotates predictably through each of the four armor slots. So 4 weeks of his stock and a smart guardian will have purchased level 631 exotics in each of their unplayed characters slots. Couple that with buying weapons from your collections, or having stocked up on extras during your time at level 650 doing activities, and you can have a full curated set of 631 gear ready to be put on. Next is easy... Play the campaign long enough to unlock purple gear on your new character, infuse the exotics from xur into the purples, and hell, keep one and put it on... Heres the best part.. Everyone complains about cores.. You get to be smart squared. Infusion of exotics INTO legendaries costs no cores.
YvfW
also, at level 631 and with quite a bit of campaign left.. there are certain guaranteed level ups that wouldve got you to 600 like before...well, now they will bring you close to 650...BEFORE you even get to the first forge. Consider it cubed.
Again this is for people looking to make good use of their first level 650 character. And enjoy 2 other characters rather quickly...if you dont believe the method..then dont use it...simple as that.

Also, as you run through on your first character.... save each levels maximum powered weapon. On my first run through, I kept a LOAD of blues for my second and third characters. I don't recall the numbers, so I will probably be a ways off on this, but... Example: You first character is at level 5 and getting weapons that require level 5. Those weapons that drop will be better power levels than the first weapon you had at level 5. Say your first weapon at level 5 has a power of 40. Your third or fourth weapon drop while being a level 5 might drop at 47 or 48 power (and still require a minimum of level 5 to equip). You can toss that 40 Power weapon, but keep those higher ones around for your other characters when you bring them into the game. Same with each and every level of weapon until you are up to Light 50 on each of the three. When you start your second character, you'll see that you can immediately start equipping much better weapons at each Light level and the progression on your second and third characters will go quite a bit faster. - Thanks manslave2eris for this part Hopefully that makes sense.

• They’ve put a catch up mechanic in with Drifter bounties to bring toons up to 640 in an hour. Not sure of the specifics other than that, but it’s welcome for me (especially if it means I don’t have to play the Forsaken campaign again, which I hated), but it also points to serious flaws with Y2 so far ... like clearly if they’re doing this a lot of people like me got burned out and quit and/or never bothered leveling up their alts. Would’ve been even more welcome if they’d confirmed they were dialing back of the time involved in just leveling up to make the game a bit less of a chore, but this means I might at least give this season a go, having skipped the last one entirely and most of the one before that.
