As a player with little left to chase
I don’t think this game is boring, I still enjoy doing the raids and playing crucible. Yeah, I enjoy crucible, shoot me.
I have all the exotics and pretty much all of the raid drops, except that LW sparrow (thanks rng). I’ve gotten a fair bit of the nightfall drops and the rolls I want on the guns I want, so what is there left to do?
Trying to get drops isn’t what I find fun anymore, helping others is. Trying to help get others through whisper, or helping people through raids for the first time. Maybe even just the nightfall with someone. When people get excited over these ‘endgame’ activities and the loot they get or even just the completion of it makes me feel good.
Just the other day I helped a couple people through scourge for the first time and one guy didn’t have a whisper of the worm yet. So, after we finished I helped him through the mission so he could have it. He seemed really happy and said he had a great night and that was a good feeling.
This post isn’t meant to brag about anything it’s just something for you guys to think about when you say “there’s nothing to do” or “this game is dead”. Find someone to help and they’ll be grateful. “Be excellent to each other”

8 RespuestasI've mostly been having fun with friends, having my 3 tries a week at the last wish sparrow, 2 or 3 anarchy tries. (I'm up to 21 so far...), or just grinding to blacksmith. Not to far now, just gotta do like a diamond, 3 rare bounties, and 27 frames.

1 RespuestaGlad your still having fun and helping people. My clan of about 90 people has basically stopped playing Destiny. Most have switched to Anthem or other games, though Anthem seems to be the most commonly played. Maybe 2 or 3 I see playing Destiny a week. Not sure if this is a permanent thing or just terribly bored with Destiny as it is now. Lot of them were unhappy with what we have gotten for the Season Pass so far, and most are so bored with Gambit they won't be back until Bungie actually has new content to play. I'm still grinding a few things, but I'm moving to other games as there is nothing new or Fresh in Destiny. Would have been done that 6 weeks ago, except family issues happened and Family always comes first.

1 RespuestaYeah, I really don't know what I'll do after getting all the exotics. I play PvP but honestly do not find it balanced at all (then again, I typically loathe PvP systems that have you bring your own gear in). I don't care about Luna's Howl or Not Forgotten because I don't use hand cannons. Raids are 'fun' I guess but they get tedious when you run it 3x a week and still don't get the ONE thing you need. I'll help people in my clan if I like them but honestly I've been talked down to/treated so harshly from players that I don't want to continue onward in many cases. After a certain point, there are times when I cannot stand this game but end up coming back (due to Bungo's game design that actually works in that regard) in hopes of getting that RNG drop. Just ridiculous how I've gotten Anarchy 7 times with only 11 clears but haven't gotten 1k voices despite doing it a lot more.

2 RespuestasThis community needs more people like you. It is so hard for new players to get into this game because nobody wants to help them. Just go look at all the LFG posts. "must have 30+ completions" "must have 2+ KD, not KDA". People wonder why less and less people join this game and its because the community pushes them away by basically telling them they aren't good enough. So i personally thank you for being a light of hope in this community. Keep it up!

38 RespuestasThat’s a good attitude to have, but sadly it doesn’t address all the problems with the game that are driving players away all the time. There will be a small minority of the player base that will play the game as the only game they play as much as they possibly can. That said the game isn’t healthy and ignoring the problems to say “you just have to like playing how I like playing” isn’t as helpful as it might seem. You have a good attitude but the posts on these forums have been well earned by Bungie during d2s life.
