What would you like to see in Destiny’s future?

Looking for constructive criticism/feedback, what do you think would genuinely make destiny better? Or, what are your hopes for d3? In all honesty destiny has its ups and down, but it’s been a really fun few years and I still love playing.

  • A loot management tool is long overdue. Being able to see unselected perks without having to drill into each item. How about the ability to add more perk slots to your gear so you can swap perks to suit the task at hand rather than having to own a bunch of the same item with mostly useless combinations of perks. The collection is mostly useless as you can't reacquire most items. The new Gambit Prime with dozens of pieces of armor makes it even worse.

    • Trials and new gear/weapons to get in crucible will bring me back. The game is incredibly stale right now. Also, more sidearms and a one shot launcher in the special slot. More interesting grenade perks for one shot launchers too. Mountaintop is literally the only viable one shot launcher aside from Fighting Lion.

        It starts with a fireteam boarding and taking down a massive enemy ship in Earth's orbit. Fighting our way to its engine room. After overcoming the enemy left in our way we place and set the charges. Next we make our escape to our ship. Kaboom! Massive explosions cause the enemy ship to loos it's orbit and come crashing down on a sector of the United States. A huge smoldering crater exposes a hidden and long forgotten entrance. Soon we realize we are not the only ones to make this discovery! Others have forced the entrance open that leads to a series of passageways that take us deeper down. Each connecting to dark chamber from Earth's past. All along the way we run into enemies that are left behind to stop us from reaching the end. Finally the payoff is we have just discovered a long lost Golden Age Military base. Before this almost fully operational base could be brought online the apocalypse happened. The base was sealed off and lost until now. Inside we discover a Treasure Trove of Golden olden age technology. As we explore we come across a huge cryo chamber. As we press on we find all of the units still functioning and occupied. The units are in sections. One for scientists. Engineers. Doctors and military personnel. A timer was sapose to wake them up at a future date, but something went wrong and caused a malfunction. We awaken each occupant. Now we bring them up to date with all that has transpired since they first went into their long sleep. Our new mission is to use all this newly discovered Golden Age technology and our new friends to reclaim Earth for mankind. Maybe bring the fight to the enemy home world's! ☆ So what do you all think?☆

      • I have lost hope for Destiny. What I have hoped to see was a robust story revealed through gameplay, gameplay that was enhanced by multiplayer teaming, instead of "forced" teaming, to achieve objectives with alternative objectives designed for solo play. What we've got is a hodgepodge of disjointed story lines, incoherent lore, and mashed together modes of play that are far from extensible, thus limiting the player experience, ostensibly because the (failed or flawed) design philosophy has handcuffed the developer. As the leader of a clan from beta D1 (don't get me started on the mess the clan experience has been since inception), my realistic expectation is to ride out this mess to its end.

More RPG oriented play, better progression system, better rewards for activities (Crucible, Iron Banner, Public Events, Strikes, etc.), meaningful skill tree, strike specific loot, RPG style class system, gear sets, useful factions, conquest system, better/smooth movement, ship battles, gear crafting, etc. The sky is the limit for the potential, but none of this will happen. This is just too mediocre a franchise to ever move much further than it already has. Destiny 3 will be more of the same. Just picture a 2010 Honda Accord with a $5000 paint job.

      • Locked load out weekly PvP A new PvP mode that chooses the load out for week. This changes weekly, could be kinetic hand cannon, sniper, sword one week, the next it could be auto rifle, sidearm, grenade launcher. Supers would be the same, you could use exotics if the weapon slot allowed it. This would change the meta weekly!

          • Badass PVE weapons and armor that are locked from being used in PVP modes. After another 2 years of the same nerf this, nerf that as we saw for 3 years in D1 all for the sake of balancing PVP at the expense of PVE. I don't think I'll be signing up for another installment unless they separate the two. Just look at scout rifles, they might as well not even exist in the game. You are only seeing a small spike now in scout rifles after the buff, mainly in PVP, but there are still way better options, and they are still useless in PvE. I would love to see a separate PVP that unlocks PVP weapons and armor the more you rank, kind of like CoD. Everybody would have access to the same weapons. And would need to rely more heavily on skill. Not sure how to deal with the supers. Maybe they could have PVP only supers or they are tuned differently once you enter PVP. This is what I would like to see.

          • A couple things I would like to see: Separate sandboxes for pvp and pve. Let me chose if I want to purchase one or both. They would have separate armor, weapons, and quests. Pvp needs to have their own servers. The p2p is the root of many of the current problems in pvp. Much larger pvp maps. They need to be large enough to double the size of the teams. Several of the current planet area maps would be good additions to pvp play. In pve I would like to see less jumping puzzles. I admit I am bad at them so this is more for my playability. Fix the economy. I am getting real tired of unnecessary grinds for materials. Especially for an item that I need, to purchase a bounty, to get another material. Or the chase for key fragments where the number needed are set just to make you grind more. Let me hold many multiples of these items so if I want to spend my time grinding a couple times a week, I can without hitting an arbitrary ceiling that forces me to come back several times each week to grind. Finally, put some randomness into the strikes, adventures, and planets. Turning the corner and finding the same enemy's in the same locations makes these activities boring. Surprise me!!! There is much more the can be done, but I will stop here. I do not really expect Bungie to take anything I have suggested seriously, or even read this post for that matter.

            • Here is what I would like to see: 1- an exotic that's NOT a God d*** Handcannon. 2- enhancement cores to go away from upgrade infusing 3- a better randomization of the Strikes Playlist 4- a rework of the Nightfall. The worst thing bungie did was take the Sunrise bounty out (D1). 5- shotguns in Crucible have ruined the experience for me. I'm bad enough as it is...but shotgun runners are over abundant right now. D1 was the same. But what makes it worse is that weapons like Telesto get nerfed (a great shotgun killer btw!!). 6- continue 6v6 Crucible 7- the recent Supers nerf/buff was horrible!! Although I ran "slova-bomb" religiously as it was, now there really is no better Super. It makes more orbs than a tether hunter. It clears out more ads faster than the unstoppable Titan. And in mayhem Crucible, it shines w the best of them. I can also toss it one rt after another as long as I kill 6 ads. This is one example of how the recent Super update is trash. The blade barrage shoulda never been touched. The nova warp just needed explosive range lessened only a hair. And the Titan.... I'm on almost my 9th Gambit reset. I've played once since the update. I saw the unstoppable Titan and it ruined the whole game. I'm done w Gambit and it was my favorite thing to play. 8- last but definitely NOT LEAST!!!!......RNG!! The RNG in this game is stupid bad. I am a top 1% player when it comes to time played in D2....some 2400-2500 hours played. It wasnt until 2 weeks ago that I have obtained all the exotics. 99 EP clears for the shotgun (did it the hard way of grinding out ALL encounters each time in Warmind release...not that cheese stuff they have now!!) 250 normal Leviathan encounters for a Skyburners catalyst....a catalyst. A buddy of mine has done Sourge on all 3 characters since its drop - no Anarchy. My second clear - Anarchy. 9- oops 1 more.... Raid exotics. Can bungie make one that is actually useful instead of some mantelpiece trophy??? Anarchy - useless; 1000 Voices - useless; Legend of Acrius - good against some bosses and in the Leviathan raid. None of which will I substitute in place of Jotunn, Hammerhead, Bad Omens, Thunderlord, Whisper, ikelos shotty, Sleeper, Telesto....

            • Muuuuuuch more emphasis on [b]storyline[/b]. They kinda had the right idea with mara sov's weekly throne room visit to give you a reason to come back every week storywise, but man, it didn't progress the story one bit. it was all cryptic bs. I know it's a lot to ask financially speaking, but it'd be great if they budgeted for 52 weekly short story/adventures. I would DEFINITELY come back every week for that. have the voice over guys read lines and everything. Get some legit writers in there to carefully plan the 52 story progression so that i can't wait to come back next week, like a good book. You can even leave each adventure in a little cliffhanger. I mean they cut massive corners for Black Armory... does the ghost even speak once? Lack of story progression and extremely confusing cryptic little lore references is what made it start getting boring for me. Make the story cleaner, like borderlands.
