Agreed, there was nothing wrong with the old system before they decided "let's make infusion annoying just because"

well, it was a bit too easy despite only being able to infuse into the same weapon type. they didn't need to add masterwork cores into the cost just planetary materials, legendary shards, and glimmer would have been fine.

Infusion should be easy. It's not a game-breaking mechanic for -blam!-'s sake - all you're doing is taking the number from gear [i]you've already gotten[/i] and moving it to another. It's not improving or changing the inherent stats of the gear, just bumping up the Light. So what if someone wants to use the same stuff ad nauseam, that's their choice. I say revert infusion back to launch status and leave it that way. We'd all be better for it.
