January 29th 2019, The Last Word returns to the players. Thorn is pretty much a guarantee in the next season and Anon the Nine previous posts point to Hawkmoon returning sometime afterward.
Maybe it’s just me but, hand cannons felt better in D1, from a console players perspective. Bungie can play the nostalgia card all they want, and that’s fine. Nostalgia only goes so far when the end product(weapon) just doesn’t feel fun to use. Hand cannons don’t need to be over powered to be good, they just need to feel better and perform as players expect.

Editado por FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 2/7/2019 2:00:09 PMI recently played Destiny 1, and I want note that shotguns and snipers feel different at firing than they were in D2 because they feel more connected in their shots, and the sound and vibration from your controller is different too.

10 RespuestasThe duke is the best hand canon in the history of the franchise, with ONE limited exception, albeit an obvious one.... Fatebringer. BUT... only vanilla Fatebringer, and only because it had an element in the primary slot. The duke is better than even the Fatebringer after the element was removed. Frankly, other hand canons weren't that good in D1. You're speaking from nostalgia.
-
Honestly what was great about handcannons in D1 was that some weren't consistant forcing you to use others as actual viable ones. Bloom really was the balancing factor for them.

3 RespuestasEditado por YourMother1972: 2/4/2019 2:17:35 PMNot sure when you quit playing Destiny 1 but in the end hand cannons were nerfed to oblivion making them completely useless. Currently in Destiny 2 hand cannons and pulse rifles are the meta for good reasons. Trust, Ace of Spades, Malfeasance are all great weapons, havent tried TLW yet, just got it last week. I do know from D1 that it has a huge learning curve. edit: Top 5 weapons in PVP currently: TLW (11,4%) Dust Rock Blues (8,2%) Trust (7,1%) Lunas Howl (7,0%) Ace of Spades (5,4%) That excludes Not Forgotten and Malfeasance but still 30% of all PVP kills.

13 RespuestasTLW is also not what it was in D1, you have to shot from the hip without aiming in order to control the recoil. All of D2 is less skill in my opinion than D1, the strategy is all lips to butt for the whole fire team. It gets really old really fast.
-
Because of over nerfed stability with a Controller. D1 stability is like mouse, D2 is terrible o all weapons. Controller stability needs a buff, simple.
-
They added recoil and finch and also decreased aim assist... d1 did feel better
-
3 RespuestasAim assist and hit boxes are crazy D2. Every weapon need D2 needs buffing to how we had it D1. Grenade launchers and jotunn need moving to the heavy slot, there’s no skill gap. Heavy ammo needs to be once per round/game for everyone or no heavy at all. Pvp has gone backwards since RoI. Destiny could be a great game but it takes bungie so long to implement changes.
-
Going back to D1, hand cannons are just so crisp. In D2, the recoil is insane.
-
4 RespuestasThey f*cked up recoil for every gun type in d2 so yeah that's why
-
On PC everything feels amazing 😎
-
In d1 they were mostly crap because of bloom, only in y1 were they good. Hence the pulse and scout metas in y2-3

2 RespuestasEditado por FataLVisioN_Oo: 2/4/2019 9:55:33 AMIt feels like everything is balanced around PC. Which is why every hand cannon requires all crits to achieve the maximum TTK where D1 was 1 crit and 2 bodies from eyesaluna. Last word is basically a shotgun on console un D2 where it was a precision weapon in D1 that could also be hip fired.
-
1 Respuestathen go back to D1. If you dont want to then stop complaining

1 RespuestaEditado por blade329: 2/4/2019 5:45:45 PM
Maybe it’s just me but, hand cannons felt better in D1, from a console players perspective
It's not just you. I used to love hand cannons on D1. I think they flat suck on D2 (PS4). I find them difficult to use across the board. That's one of the many reasons why I wont waste my time these quests. Lunas Howl? Last Word. It's pointless when I know they aren't going to be useful to me.
-
If the old handcannons will feel exactly the same, than all D2 weapons will become useless. Do we want D1 back or do we want to go further for even better weapons in D2?
-
1 RespuestaD1 Y1 handcannons were good, but the bullet's RNG was just horrible after they nerfed handcannons.
-
28 RespuestasMaybe it's just me but.... wtf is going on with all the old hand cannons being brought back? And why is everyone so happy for bungie to be so lazy? By not creating new content when people have paid their money for new content? I want a Whipper Snapper. It's a new exotic scout I've just made up. It has a flame thrower burst for enemies in close proximity. Now pay me my mother f#@king money, bungie ;)

2 RespuestasEditado por PandaPapa146: 2/4/2019 4:44:48 AMWait until you see them all slobbering over the hint of the arrival of Icebreaker and JellyHorn and Hawkmoon (as mentioned above). Once these are done, there's not much else they can drag forward from D1Y1 to do the 5Rs treatment, to a baying pack of mind-benumbed Guardians. And worst of all, they'll clap and cheer like there's no tomorrow, too! The mind boggles?1? Destiny (Business Plan) in a nutshell: 5Rs (Re-name / Re-skin / Re-sell) - then, Rinse and Repeat

I haven’t seen anyone arguing this

2 RespuestasLast Word desperately needs a fix for ADS, but I have gotten used to the fan fire, as one amazing rumble game demonstrated. My baby is back!

2 RespuestasEditado por reenry: 2/4/2019 5:19:20 AMhttps://youtu.be/upWFU9VehRc They cant change it unless the cap framerate on PC which I am against but mouse can still control recoil, or they lower the recoil on all platforms. By the way M&KB will always be superior in recoil control, its just fact. Regardless LW is top of meta, its a learning curve you guys will need to adjust to. Once you do, it will be dangerous.

It is NOT nostalgia or "rose-tinted glasses", it's the [armory]Truth[/armory] that D1 Hand Cannon did preform more clean & crisp. It's has too do with how D2 Hand Cannon integrated Recoil along with Bloom, which somehow fuqed up the Stability for it. If anyone feeling doubtful, just launch D1 and see for yourself! Also D1 engine was more optimized at running at a very stable frame-rate as oppose to D2 which does dip below it's frame-rate a lot!
