Nathan Phillips did not serve in Vietnam.
Even the Washington post had to admit it. He [i]did[/i] serve in the marines, but he was [u]not[/u] ever deployed to Vietnam.
Also, hes in the news again for trying to disrupt a catholic church with... chanting and drum banging.
I dont know how anybody can look at this guy and not see him as an instigator.
Oh, and heres a question for everybody, what do y'all think would happen if I walked into a native American spiritual ceremony (or any religious gathering really) and started playing a guitar and yelling? Somehow I don't think the same public in love with this guy would look kindly on that.

The teachers of that school are -blam!-ing appalling in that they not only allowed what took place to happen, but they also helped rile up their students. Phillips knew exactly what he was doing IMO. He's not stupid, and he certainly wasnt even-handed in his "intervention" between the two groups. The Black Hebrew Israelites are very provocative. And thats putting it [i]very[/i] mildly. Theres no winners here. Only a bunch of twats from both sides of the aisle.

7 RespuestasIt was the media that called Phillips a vietnam veteran, most likely because of his dates of service. He served in the Marines from 1972-1976, and received an honorable discharge upon leaving the military. A Veteran is defined as a person who has previously served in the armed forces. Of course all of this is besides the point, as it doesn't change the fact that a group of spoiled entitled kids chose to confront and harass an old man for no other reason than he was of a different race. At a minimum, they are complete dbags for attacking an old man unprovoked by anything he personally did. If my parents saw a video of me acting this way to an elderly person, I would have a whole lot more problems than negative social media image. Finally, it seems odd that those on right are fixated on the this issue. After all, Phillps, unlike some others we know, actually did serve his country. He didn't get his wealthy daddy to find a doctor to diagnose him with shin splints so that he could avoid military service altogether. Seems a little hypocritical to attempt to call out Phillips while completely ignoring someone who completely avoided service based on a highly suspect excuse.

On the positive side, a lawyer has come out offering to represent the kids pro bono. Sounds like he's going to go after a few celebrities and some "news" organizations as well if they decide to let him represent them.

Since when is using your constitutional rights to bang a drum and sing considered provocative? Now before you get all butthurt I also think those MAGA kids did nothing wrong. Sure they were acting like precocious little shits (like teenagers do) but it’s also their constitutional right to do so. [u]All[/u] parties seem to be equally to blame for this. Both sides were looking to make a point. Frankly I’m getting tired of these constant hysterical “social media” wars. It’s just people going out of their way to find things to get “outraged” about. Someone on the left or right does/says something stupid and the other side pounces on it immediately just to score points. As if the actions of a few individuals somehow proves all the ideals of one side wrong. It childish and petty.
