What do you mean ammo on d pad?

In D1 you could buy primary secondary and heavy ammo but u had to dig into your inventory to use it, handy in raids. It was inconvienant to get into those menus and fight , the D pad on controllers is underutilized so Id love to be able to use it for ammo.
