Thing about the Mindbender’s he is not as strong as others. Of course any one can control the Sword Logic, but someone like Mara who is strong and have will like no others can keep a ascendant realm. But also note the Sword logic was stolen and manipulated with the Mind Bender, and when he died he was not strong enough to hold it. It would of collapsed anyway with the death of the Barons.
