Blade Barrage Nerf, Explained

This post is to help explain the changes to Blade Barrage by way of illustrating how they affect game-play. Short version: don’t panic; it’s really not all that bad unless you tend to cast Blade Barrage into obstacles right in front of you or enemies who are very close to you, and damage output is now delayed. Changes for PvP: * Pre-nerf, Blade Barrage was a shutdown super. Enemy player casts super, Hunter casts BB, blades hit enemy player and hit hard, enemy player dies, Hunter walks away, unscathed. * Post-nerf, Blade Barrage is a trade super. Enemy player casts super, Hunter casts BB, blades hit enemy player for weak damage but stick, Hunter dies from enemy super, enemy player dies from delayed blade explosions. Changes for PvE: * Blade Barrage still a very powerful super but there is a delay between cast and desired effect. Hunters using Blade Barrage to stop a swarm are now more likely to die from the enemy swarm if they waited to cast until critically low on health. Otherwise, damage output is roughly unchanged, just delayed. Changes affecting both: * Blade Barrage casters will now kill themselves if they are too close to the explosions from their own blades. [Edited to add self-destruction aspect.]
