Stop asking to make endgame easier.

This includes the forges. If you have gripes with things that are [i]genuinely[/i] unfair i.e the mutual shielding of the boss servitor and other servitors, that’s fine. When I see people asking for more time and no timer at all or lowering the recommended light etc, I wanna scream. What’s the point in the game if there is no challenge? Endgame is supposed to reward skill. These forges will already be easy once we are 650 and then they will just become a grind rather than exciting and challenging content and everyone will be back to complaining that there’s nothing to do. Too much entitlement on these forums. You’ve all got so used to complaining, do you even know what you want anymore? Bungie could literally give you a game sized update for free at this point and you’d still find something to complain about. Edit: italics mistake.

      I hit 610 yesterday so tried the forge for the first time last night solo line up, first game we were 3 shy of going into the third round, and the second attempt a little worse off with 6 shy, only a matter of time and rng matchmaking luck before its done. I have hear the third is easier than the second round so shouldnt be an issue. Doesn't seem that difficult, I went in blind and just had random high light gear on so was not exactly built for 'endgame' but still with a few more practice runs (finding best spawns, positioning etc) and tweaking of gear to an Ideal build and the forge will be done.

    • The only thing that is making the forges difficult is "damage scaling" as a result of people being underlevelled. I rand the Volundr Forge last night at 615, with two randoms. One who was 617 and the other 622....and after taking some time to figure each other out and get into a rhythm....we made short work of it. Killed the boss with some 30 seconds to spare. The problem isnt' that the Forges are too difficult. The problem is that Bungie uses Power level to limit access to content.....and the game has a broken, RNG-based progression system....that LIMITS the number of chances to progress your character each week. Regardless of how long you play. This is bad game design....and the community frustration is the result: Who wants to grind old content for 4-6 weeks JUST TO GET UP TO the level the new content requires. THAT is what people were facing Day One before Bungie made the changes.....and that is a ridiculous expectation. People aren't going to do that. So what they'll do is just quit the game....and that will eventually damage YOUR experience of the game as well.

            • IMO, if you are paying $40 (in this case $10 for Black Armory) expecting to have an extension of the story, then you should have access to it. I don't think the forges should be "challenges", they should instead be another means of playing and accessing the game. Challenges should be specific, like completing a bounty or a raid or a nightfall. Getting Luna's Howl or Not forgotten does not limit access to crucible. I think they should introduce light-based forges, like how the blind well has tier 1, 2, 3 and heroic. This would allow all players to engage in the forge, with higher tiers yielding higher rewards. My main gripe is the inaccessibility to farm refurbished Black armory gear, or how some things don't make sense, like how augmented engrams aren't refurbished BA weapons.
