The second I saw what trouble it would be leveling for this forge week 1 and contemplated as a working man what little sleep I would have to get, or even not have a girl over if I wanted to get raid ready by the weekend,.. I realized I should finally say -blam!- it. From now on in Destiny I will never again try a raid week 1 (even though I have since Vanilla D1), I will never immediately grind an exotic quest, I will never rush any content. I'm done and I will likely only play a few hours a week and just roll with it. I'm not some pissed off dude who is gunna quite. I'm just no longer hardcore. I'm a casual now. Hell I might go play Fortnite (lol) instead because it's more carefree sometimes than grinding powerful rewards.

Yup, same thing here. I used to grind this game like nobody's business....and then about mid-October I realized this game felt like a second job. I felt very much like I HAD to knock out my weekly chores just to keep up, and found I was spending time in this game that would have been better spent on other things (ie friends/family). The irony was the grind was something that I thought Vanilla D2 was definitely missing and it returned with a vengeance. I still haven't logged in for a number of weeks, and lately have been missing the gameplay. But the thought of having to massively grind again to catch up is keeping me from logging back in. I wish there was a happy medium for this game, where there was enough PvE (strikes/missions/etc) options available where I could casually play this game. But (IMO) if you aren't grinding for end game, this game gets boring pretty quick. Games like ESO have hundreds of hours of casual content to play through, I wish Destiny was built the same way

Week 2 is where its at with endgame content. I was always a day 1 raider, but with Last wish taking over a day to complete, I decided to just bite the bullet and level up on release week then tackle it the following. I can say the game is so much more enjoyable. Patience is key.

1 RespuestaI was grinding hard to get three characters to 600. Had my Titan to 585 and was feeling strong. In Forge I struggle to kill a red bar Cabal. Now I realise I’ll always be playing catch up while streamers on youtube solo stuff I don’t have the weapons to be able to complete. Bungie has shown total contempt for people who aren’t full time gamers.

I like this game still will pop on here and there just not really motivated to log on as much now the grind has made this game feel like a job and leaves little to no time to play any other games I’m sure after a good break I’ll come back as strong as ever but not feeling it right now
-
Yeah. Same thing happened to me when CoO came out

4 RespuestasThis is exactly what I did. I didn't full on "quit," but I'm definitely not playing every day anymore.
-
I became a ghost much to my surprise.

Editado por Oh Lawd He Comin': 12/11/2018 10:58:01 PMI became casual after last season ended. I burned myself out grinding Redrix and practicing for hours upon hours for when my friends and I finally made the push for NF. I've done a small handful of solo queue comp games and logged in for milestones with friends, but I'm not sure I have that grind in me again. I want The Mountaintop but I can't even bring myself to focus on playing at a competitve level or trying to keep my chops up right now. The whole enhancement cores thing affecting me so much with the new light level cap is such a bummer too. I don't have much time to play, and I certainly don't have time to grind cores, finish milestones, and keep up with PvP all at the same time. It's a bummer but it's probably for the best.

6 RespuestasCan't wait for Anthem, the I'll be really casual. Right now d2 is a chore. Leveling in a certain order, doing weeklies like a ritual. Gets ridiculous.
-
Welcome to the club. It's pretty chill here in the casual group. We only play to have fun.....
...what a concept.
-
Maybe not full casual but it’s way too hard to keep up with the guys that play 6-10+ hours every day now
-
4 RespuestasI'm now a casual Destiny player. I'll show up for seasonal events like the Dawning, but all other content is now "yeah, I'll do it when Bungie finally stops the power level creep", aka in the 2 months B4 Destiny 3 drops. Destiny 2 Foresaken will also be my last Bungie pre-purchase.I have no desire to continue paying Bungie 100$+ a year to be a Beta tester.

Mr T's dead?!

What is a “casual”?
-
I’m just fed up of the turd RNG, I mean come on Bungo, why give me 5 Gauntlets at same power from my milestones and a bond that was lower than the one equipped. Out of all my powerful drops last week I gained 2 of use. The RNG is garbage no wonder players are ditching.
-
2 RespuestasSo what you mean to say is you've finally grown up, taken time to look at the big picture and reorganize your priorities. Same lol

agreed.

I’ve been a casual since D2!

1 RespuestaI'm actually having more fun playing Roblox (Theme Park) with my little girl at the moment. I'm just not motivated by Destiny 2 lately. This precluded Black Armory, but it hasn't done anything to motivate me either. Cheers, Lain
-
13 RespuestasYep, went from 6 hours a day almost to nothing the last week. I'm sick of doing all the milestones every single week for no reward. Sick of getting hammered in comp by shards of galanor and one eyed mask and having nothing to fight back with

It's the best way to play 👍👍👍😁

This. I put a solid 36-40 hours for SotP raid to get leveled and it was pointless. Found myself cracking out on resident evil 1 remastered instead. And I was also affected by the whole garbage connection to bungie for a week last week and it just stole my ambition to play this game. Destiny is great and all but now I load up into orbit and check out destinations and see all the crap I gotta do and I just think.. "ehhhh, DayZ is looking pretty dope rn" and immediately home screen lol
-
Never been hardcore or casual. Dedicated suits me better. * It feels like more work than fun these days. Particularly with the boring repetition of gear that serves as the drops and rewards for the content we have grinded over and over...and over and over...and... * We need an enemy to nuke the gun production factories and force them to create and churn out all new gear for us to grind for.

I'll log in occasionally but that's it. Thanks Bungie for the good times. Other games have launched and I'm off to play those.
