So... Do you just not want me to play comp?
I'm an average player and don't really expect to do great in comp but the way it always goes it's like I'm not supposed to play it. Of the bat my first comp match season 5, I pair with a 4 stack (one of which had 2800 glory) and we were 3 fools struggling to even run away by the end of it. Getting hit with mountaintop and nf's nonstop in my first match is pretty rough and to be honest I'd rather shit in my hands and clap than do it again.
Edit. I think there's some things I need to clarify. First off my intention wasn't some to complain about "how hard comp is" I expect it to be a challenge, hence why I play it. More so I was annoyed how rough the matchmaking can be. Secondly, when I said I'm an average player it was simply because I don't go round riding my own dick, I'm actually a pretty solid player. I was simply venting at being handed the team mates that were rejected applicants from the -blam!- syndicate and it seems to happen more often than not. I've paired with randos with which i've destroyed teams of 4 easily but those moments are far and few between. Instead 90% of the time I turn around my teammates are looking down the barrels of their own guns checking for dust or are just outright pacifists. I was having a bad string of matches and I wrote some shit on the internet. Don't take it so seriously.

1 RespuestaTry finding times that work best, makes a difference if you're soloing. I only play during weeknights right now, Tuesday mornings if I an up early enough. People here are like two years old and reactionary so ignore their responses they're not the type to gather friends that are sober. Right now honestly just have fun and let it be, they're looking into issues like matchmaking and will be making changes, despite the children who talk smack on the forums.

But honestly, comp is difficult. Fireteams often have the lowest glory rank person queue to get easy matches.

I think they need to give the guns to all of us and stop this shitshow that they called Competitive ! I got the Claymore Redrix and I am not that impressed at all ,it seems they are out of -blam!-ing ideas or some shit on what regards the pistols so bottom line ...the competitive playlist its trash !

1 Respuesta'Competitive' list shouldn't be about the rewards, which it is now. It was supposed to be about 'ranking' (like Halo 2, Halo 3 used to be) so we knew where we stood amongst the player base. You play similarly-skilled players and make your way up and down based on your ability - then ultimately, you land at your skill ceiling and that's your rank. In Halo 2, my best was 36. Now, everyone sees it as though 'Fabled' or 'Legend' are something EVERYONE should be able to reach because these rewards require it. It's absolutely ruined the PvP experience in the only SBMM playlist we have - and honestly I'm not even sure SBMM is working properly in there (evident by my own experiences and obviously yours, too). It's a rabid constant 'black friday' stompfest of players/smurfs/cheaters all clawing and gouging for their god-tier guns, so they can jump to the 'casual' (totally not) playlist with their god guns and wreck everyone trying to actually have a good time. I haven't played a match in 2 weeks in Quickplay that didn't have at least 1 Luna's Howl in it. It's a joke.

They want us to play comp, they just know it's bad. Hence the bounties from Hawthorne that force PvP and gambit.

2 RespuestasAt the end fo the day what this tells me is that Bungie listend to a bunch of youtubers/streamers/no-lifers whatever you want to call them at the "bungie please help us summit" and we got where we are today. When normal people grind for an entire season to get Luna, which is pretty much an "Adept Trust" and now they are bailing on Comp that tells me Bungie listend to the wrong people or didn't consider the HUGE population of people who pay for the game.....the normal people. When you make a quest line so long/hard/whatever that when people have the gun at the end of this PVP rainbow they drop down to the kindergarden level to shoot all the little kids in QP you have either made the quest stupidly hard or these people have emotional problems. My vote is the quest. Bungie almost alwasy gets this wrong. They swing one way or the other way to far and miss the fact that most of life happens in the middle.

1 RespuestaIt’s brutal because you don’t have a team dude. You answered your own question. What bungie needs to do is encourage players to use push to talk or make a easier chat lobby for console and pc players. Because if you are as good as you say you are you wouldn’t be complaining. Get a team.

Just face it these guys are better than you and you have only one option keep playing and get better. If you’re not playing with a 4 stack in competitive you’re not going to get very far. It’s called competitive for a reason what do you want free wins?

Don't listen to the noobs below. Most of them never solo crucible at all and getting carried all day long. Just find a dedicated team and eventually you will reach your goal. Comp is ment for teams, and Bungie should allow only fireteams in order to protect solo players from griefing.

I'm pretty afraid of all the high rank people who have been returned to the lower ranks. There will be lots of luna/nf in lower ranks now too. Once I'm in "pvp" mode I'll be fine and get the grind going. I'm just not there yet still enjoying the new PvE stuff and raiding again. Can't wait...

Every moment I spawned I got wiped off the map without blinking. I can hold my own in a match with a average 1.4-1.8 KD but in matches like those I’m barely hitting .5 and I lose like 300 points a night

4 RespuestasThe other night I dove into PVP because I wanted the Powerful Gear engram to up my light. (That is, after all, how Bungie bribes us.) I told my SO, "Watch this. It's going to be ridiculous." I was paired against a 3 stack of sweaties who were obviously all on mic. My SO and I laughed and laughed. A sense of humor is needed for this garbage. Why isn't there a SBMM option for average and below average players so we can have a bit of fun and work on improving our game? It isn't fun to be cannon fodder for careers. A lot of the Youtubers haven't even added new PVP content since Forsaken came out.
