There are two terms we have to clear up. Sex, and gender. A lot of people get these two things confused, so we’re going to explain it very simply. Sex is what’s in your pants. For most intents and purposes, there are two sexes. Male and female. Gender is something different. It is how we perceive ourselves. It is a psychological thing, not a physical one. Until recently, we had decided that, as a society, there were two genders. However, as we start to understand things better, we can start to realize that we as a society can create more genders, or, as some people eloquently put it, “make them up”. So yes, all these crazy genders are made up, human, constructions. But no more so than your gender
