Here's the thing, my dude. THERE IS NO MATCHMAKING. They just find the least laggy match, and that's all they care about. Too many people cried about having fair and balanced matches when SBMM was turned on, so they cut it off. Even in this thread you can see all the people TERRIFIED of the mere idea that they'd actually be subjected to fair matches again so they lash out. "Bad players should just stay out of crucible" Completely ignoring the fact that without those bad players all they'd have are the good ones they can't beat and they'd be right back to hating crucible.

Here's the thing, not my dude. Bungie made a blog post months ago that MM is bugged and not taking skill or connection into account as it should be and that they would monitor the health of the playlist (QP) and ready a POTENTIAL fix. they did not remove SBMM or CBMM it is a bug that they never bothered to fix because sweats and streamers were praising the new QP where they can just farm kills. that is it. but other than that i agree with your sentiments.
-
You believe Bungie when they say things?
-
no, but if they are admitting to a bug i don't see why they would lie about that. but it wouldn't surprise me if they were i guess.

Editado por GrifterDeMier01: 12/3/2018 4:44:02 AMNo "bad" players have every right to play crucible. The problem isn't bad players vs. good players. Or well geared players vs. noobs. The problem here is Bungie tried to make a game that had every aspect of every other game in it and they failed. Pvp and pve never should have co-existed in this one game togeather. Bungie needs to make 2 seperate games. One game will be focused on all the lore and RPG and coop/pve aspects, the other game will just be a simple pvp shooter with a million pvp games modes and all the weapons and armor from the pve game will be unlocked just from playing the pvp matches. Keep the 2 game modes 100% seperate.
-
So you're saying to separate the game... by not separating it?
-
You are a -blam!-ing idiot if that's how you interpreted what I said.
-
If you want Destiny to become basically Call of Duty, sure. But by nature, this game is loot-based. Trying to turn it into what it isn't won't work.
-
Editado por GrifterDeMier01: 12/3/2018 8:28:32 AMIt would work. I'm saying make a loot based RPG/shooter similar to Diablo combined with borderlands for one game which is clearly what this game was shooting for originally. The problem is they also on top of that tried that add a competitive pvp shooter to add a little bit of longevity which was their down fall. It's pretty much impossible to combine those two genres. They need to be kept seperate. Now that this game is established, this brand is established, Bungie could very easily seperate the pvp and the pve. Make 2 different games. One game only coop/RPG shooter, the other game only competitive shooter with a short campaign that loosely ties into the rest of the lore.

But destiny isn't meant to only be a story driven game, neither is it a multiplayer driven game. It maintains a thin balance that caters to all crowds, while allowing said crowds to mingle over time. Also, if you're coming from a perspective of having better story lore, there's a lot of lore to PvP. Literally Ikora Rey as a character is only the way she is because of the Crucible. Shaxx is an important character who exists because of Crucible. It's not like all the way back in 2013, Bungie said the game would never have PvP and then threw one together half way to launch. Sure the original STORY was scrapped, but Crucible was always intended to be apart of the game and its lore universe. The Shadows of Yor for example. Or even the legends told of Cayde's Crucible career. All of these things wouldn't have such great stories of Crucible weren't apart of the game. And the game would die fast if people had to buy a whole different game just to use the same guns, but against other people. Borderlands doesn't have arena PvP, and that's fine, because it wouldn't fit borderlands. And diablo can't be compared to destiny outside of it's a looter game, they're two different experiences. There is a mixture of things to do in destiny that would get stale without the other, if you have a game where you only play story, it gets repetitive. Only multiplayer pvp gets triggering and repetitive. Having the chance to do everything at your leisure is what makes this game. And no one is spending $120 on two discs at launch just for a complete experience.

No, no, no... You're saying make the game two separate modes, but have items carry over...?
-
And yes that's still two totally seperate games. I'm saying have items in the pvp version that are also in the pve version. You acquire them in different ways though. In the pvp version you just play lots of matches and get kills and unlock the weapons and armor you would get in the pve/RPG version just like in any regular pvp game today. And if you think this would be the limit you are clearly a dunce. Bungie and activision could take advantage of this 2 game perspective to even improve the lore and improve both games. Yea sure there would still be issues and problems but it would be a lot better than this current set up.
-
Also, I don't think people are going to pay for two completely different games, because that is most likely how something like this would go if left up to activision.
-
But it's still the same thing overall. The weapons and armor are still the same, right? So there is no change other than PvP has dedicated servers. And if you're balancing weapons around fighting powerful enemies in pve, don't you think that would be a balance issue in multiplayer? Excuse me for being a dunce when you aren't explaining this properly enough for someone to get a sense of how this would be any different from something that's already been done 1,000,000 times or being the same as what we have now just with a new coat of paint.
-
Yeah there was a planned decision to remove SBMM. It was a while back and I get the feeling a lot of comments on this forum dont know this happened. Personally, I think they need a newbies game pool. Then once you have played xx games, you go into the normal pool without SBMM, and learn how to counter lunas ... by not going one on one, slide shot gunning them in the leg, or other options you learn over time.
-
What? They announced that it was a bug that happened when 6v6 QP was introduced. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/247350089
-
No link, but I think after initial bug statement, they said we will leave it like this and see what player base thinks. Or maybe that was another screw up lolz. I think sweats are happy now doming blueberries with their not forgottens, but based on forums I think okay level players are getting frustrated. Will be interesting to see how it plays out from here.
-
Wait, wait, you actually believe something Bungie says? I've got a bridge to sell you.
-
Agree with your first post, just pointing out a lot of people probably dont even know that there is absolutely no SBMM for a while now. What color is your bridge? Sounds interesting
